Stopped here for 11 nights in August. 30 minutes from airport, 10 minutes walk to town centre, 10 minutes walk to Lambi beach, overall excellent position.
staff really friendly always polite, really don’t understand previous reviews, take with pinch of salt.
Rooms are on the small size but are more than adequate, they where cleaned everyday but Sunday, they where spotless cleaned. We had a proper double bed it was very comfy and we always had a great nights sleep. The shower was one of the best I’ve ever encountered always hot and powerful. Lovely white excellent quality towels. Plenty of storage for your clothes. Flat screen TV with uk channels and best bonus very quiet Aircon included in the price of your holiday. Use of safe was €10 for 1 week €15 for 2 weeks safes are located near reception.
Pool area is also spotlessly clean, sun beds are really comfy and are spaced apart, there was always plenty of sun beds with umbrellas available any time of the day, the pool was large for the size of the complex. There is a pool bar which does basic lunches and drinks, personally I thought the drinks a bit on the expensive side EG.. Kopperburg €5.50 for 1 can, Methos beer €3.60 a bottle.
Breakfast is served on a tray due to COVID and regulated by Greek government so no fault of the hotel. Again personally I found it very boring and wasteful due to all guest getting the same each day. I’m sure with a little more thought perhaps a menu given to guests with what they would like might be less wasteful and a little more choice changed every other day it was same each day and very repetitive.
Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, I felt very safe and the hotel staff had made great effort to make you feel this way by having hand sanitiser everywhere and constantly cleaning worktops, well done to all the staff. A big thank you for a brilliant stay.

Having had 5 holidays cancelled this year we spotted a shortbreak to Kos & decided to go for it.We are so pleased with our choice of hotel & location. We arrived at the hotel & met by Costas who was very warm & friendly.
The room was spotless & comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. The bar is a great hub for meeting fellow guests & to get to know the owners Costas & Billy. We were surprised & pleased to see they also offer a good range of snacks & light meals which was very welcome for our early evening arrival.
Sanitisers & social distancing measures were on every table & yet somehow a truly relaxed & friendly atmosphere proved you can still have a good time & stay safe.
We used the bar each evening for nightcap drinks & to meet up with our fellow guests.Billy had so many funny stories to tell & added to our enjoyment.
Breakfasts were well organised with a tray containing contintental style food served to each person at our own tables.
Kos town is very pretty & we had the advantage of most bars & restaurants still being open & yet fewer crowds.
The location of the Bahamas is in a peaceful & quiet backwater & yet a very easy shory stroll to the centre of town & harbour.
Thank you Costas,Billy & staff for making our shortbreak so enjoyable. We plan to return & would highly recommend this adults only hotel to anyone wanting a quiet stay but with easy access & a warm friendly welcome.

Available through TUI Small and Friendly, the Bahamas Hotel is a real gem run by absolute diamonds. Two brothers, Billy (Vasilis) and Costas own and manage the hotel and are so lovely, helpful, friendly and approachable. The hotel is adults only and situated in a very quiet, almost rural location on the edge of Kos Town, only a 10 minute walk to the beach, harbour or port area. There are fields with cows, sheep, goats and chickens nearby and mountain views from the pool area. I stayed for just over a week in the recently built new block, built to a very high standard with gorgeous fixtures and fittings. A rain shower and an over sized headboard with a very comfy bed and chairs, with garden furniture on the balcony or terrace too. Honestly, this was more like a 5 star hotel room, I was so very impressed. Housekeeping every day with towel change and breakfast served on the restaurant terrace, this hotel made my discovering and exploring Greek summer sunshine adventure really easy and manageable as a great base for a good night's sleep and maybe the occasional siesta snooze or lie in too. Excellent indoor bar and outdoor pool bar snack service. Highly recommended, for quiet adults only location, excellent room comfort and shower quality and all round excellent value for money. I believe in peak summer season, there's a Greek night including an outdoor barbecue and evening entertainment. I would definitely return to this hotel.

just arrived back with my son after 2 weeks. Hotel is locked after so well by Billy and Costas who work such long hours to ensure our enjoyment. The rooms are kept spotless and cleaned daily except Sundays by staff who always seem to have a smile on their faces and always say good morning or good afternoon. The pool bar is open 10 till 5 and simple food and drinks are served again with a smile. \the pool is beautiful and water tested and cleaned every day, Very many sunbeds, i would imagine everyone must get one even in peak times. Very nice main bar with sky sports. A nice contenental breakfast served by equally polite and smiling girls. Free aircon in the rooms and lovely beds. We will return.

We got Married in Kos three years ago and my parents stayed in this hotel for the wedding and absolutely loved it so when we were looking for a late deal holiday after our previous hotel getting cancelled and this place came up we were excited to book here. When going through the booking process we noticed some superior rooms for only £100 extra and they looked lovely (although there was nothing wrong with the standard rooms when my parents stayed) so we thought we would book these for that something extra and we were so glad we did it’s a new block with 10 rooms to a high standard with freezing cold air con and fridge and lovely comfy bed with nice fixtures and fittings with a good size TV with some English channels ITV etc situated to the right of the snack bar overlooking the pool. The adults only really makes this hotel as it’s a nice quiet atmosphere to relax. The pool is clean and the sun loungers new and comfortable. Good range of snacks available at the snack bar. For a night time the hotel bar is great with a good range of drinks and the best daiquiris at a great price. The bar also has all the sports channels so will be great for when the football season starts. The breakfast is continental with it served to you on a tray at the moment with Covid regulations but is is plentiful and more than enough. The location is nicely set back but only around an 8 minute steady walk into Kos town. Billy, Costa and his whole family are so friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. We are half way through our holiday and we wish we had booked to stay longer keep up the good work guys 👍

Just had our 2nd stay here at the Bahamas hotel. The hotel is away from the main part of town down a quiet road. It's lovely and peaceful, even better it's adults only. There is plenty of parking available if you hire a car. We had a top floor room and we could see the pool and the mountains. The room had 2 beds which were pushed together giving us plenty of room. The air con was free which surprised me as most hotels charge extra for this. I did pay for a safe though which was 10 Euro for the week or 15 Euro for 2 weeks. The TV had English channels such as BBC news, BBC2, plus some channel 4 programmes.
There was a kettle in the room with tea spoons but no mugs so take your own. There is also a small fridge which was plenty big enough to hold water, milk and a couple of cartons of juice or bottles of wine.
You can get internet access in the room but it's a bit slow but if you sit in the right place it's fine.
Breakfast was serve yourself but you need to wear a mask and plastic gloves while you are taking food from the buffet. There was 2 types of cereal, yogurt and watermelon, bread with the best toaster that toasted just to the right colour. Boiled eggs, cheese and ham. plenty of choice of jam and honey and butter or margarine. There was orange or blackcurrant juice but it was dilute and not fresh but still nice.
We don't drink so didn't use the bar much, but on our arrival we did have some food which was nice and fresh and reasonably priced.
There are plenty of loungers by the pool and again it's nice and quiet surrounded by greenery and flowers. There is a pool bar where they serve food and drinks and even though I didn't eat there the food I saw served looked lovely.
If you have a car and drive into Kos town please be aware that if you park on one of the back streets be careful which side of the road you park on. Depending on if it's an odd or even month decides which side of the road you park on. Sadly I chose the wrong side and got a 20 Euro parking fine. Just say to pay the fine I walked into town so I didn't make the same mistake again.
All in all we had a great holiday even if we did feel the earth move when there was a small earth tremor the day we were leaving. Would we go back again, certainly. Lovely peaceful holiday which was much needed.

Very lucky to have had a holiday this year, the Bahamas hotel is a huge favorite of ours. Family run, great location, very clean, lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds, lovely bar area. Rooms are great and the house keeping staff do a grand job, because of the virus restrictions breakfast is now served to you on a tray, lots of people go back year after year, loved seeing friends this year we met there 2 years ago. Super well done to Costas and Billy, thank you

We stayed here for 10 days at the end of September. Our room was a little disappointing, right next to Reception. Facilities are adequate, but the place is suffering from the lack of tourists due to the Covid crisis. There was an air of defeat about the place, hardly surprising. They were dealing with restrictions in a way that was intended to make guests feel secure but relaxed. Breakfasts were interesting, served by two lovely young Greek ladies who did their best with what they were provided with.
The pool bar was okay, but the music would appeal more to the young barmaid and barman than to the largely elderly clientel. The pool itself was spotless, a good temperature and pleasant for swimming. Sunbeds were a mix of old and new, and there were plenty to serve the number of guests staying.
There's a good library of paperbacks for those who forget to take books with them.
The location is relatively quiet, but only a short walk to the beach in one direction and the town centre in another.
It was a pleasant stay in all, especially under the circumstances.

Stayed for 10 nights. Lovely laid back hotel, large pool with plenty of sun beds but not many with a mattress. Not a problem when we were there as not many people round the pool
Rooms were a good size and had a fridge and hair dryer. Air con at no extra cost. Safe 10 euros. Rooms kept very clean
We were in the old block; the rooms in the new block were very nice
Not sure why the shower didn’t have a shower curtain when there was a rail
Breakfast was basic and same choice everyday
Food at the pool bar was very good and a reasonable price
Owners very helpful; we got a late check out for a small charge
Nice to have a last drink when we got back to the hotel
Great location: 10 mins to harbour or lambi beach
Do try the broadway restaurant but book in advance and the sky bar; great views and cocktails
I would return

Just returned after our 14th visit to this hotel and found it as friendly and clean as ever . It’s a great family run hotel and Billy & Costas have done an excellent job making the hotel a safe environment with hand sanitizers available throughout the hotel . Due to COVID restrictions breakfast is served to your table by the girls who do an excellent job. The hotel has an additional 10 rooms this year and they are fantastic . Every room in the hotel has tv and a fridge and kettle . Pool area is a great place to relax with plenty of sun beds available and plenty of space . Pool bar is run by the family where you can get food and drinks all day . Brilliant location very quiet but a steady 10 to 15 minutes walk to the harbour . Lots of restaurants close by and a supermarket at the end of the road. The bar area has been extended and is a great place to meet other guests in the evening . The Bahamas Hotel is a great place to go for a relaxing holiday and we have already booked for next year .

Read my one star review. I’m not making it up, and there is no option for a cooked breakfast. Tbh I wouldn’t trust them to do it properly.
