Stayed at Pelagos in September and enjoyed the stay. We had a junior suite which was gorgeous and spacious. The cleaner visited everyday... however I did find a t shirt which did not belong to us down the side of the sofa before leaving. We also had an issue with the aircon which I felt could have been dealt with my reception a little quicker as we had two days without air con in 30+ degrees heat. Food was plentiful and the staff in the restaurants were attentive. The Italian restaurant was gorgeous but service was slow. My friend wanted to upgrade to the gold band for the last day but was not allowed to as I did want to (I was happy with the drinks included in the normal A/I but my friend wanted the different cocktails) but would have been allowed if she wanted to do it for 2 days... which I thought was odd! Overall I would stay at Pelagos again and I would recommend it.

We have just returned from a week's holiday at pelagos. We have had the best time and have made a lifetime of memories. All the staff have been nothing but welcoming, extremely hard working and kind. My children have had the best week. Thankyou all so so much for giving us this experience at the end of a very difficult year for my family. We really really needed it. You are amazing!!!

I have recently returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday at the Pelagos Suites Hotel and Spa in Kos. I wanted to leave a very honest review for other people who are looking to book this hotel. Starting off with the pro’s: ROOM - super comfy and big bed, spacious balcony with daybed (we stayed in a junior suite with balcony - room 720) and really good hairdryer (fast and powerful). BUFFET/AL A CARTE RESTAURANTS - very clean and sanitary, the staff ask you to use hand sanitiser and wear disposable gloves before going into the buffet. Good selection of food, we never found it too busy and could always get a table. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly and polite. The food and service in the Italian al a carte restaurant was exceptional! I have included a photo on the seafood risotto I had there. POOL AREA - We always managed to get sun loungers and wouldn’t have to get up super early to put towels down. The man working in the towel hut was friendly and helpful and it was great to have the option of the snack bar which was open 11 - 5. SPA - My boyfriend paid for a massage which was a decent price and very relaxing. ENTERTAINMENT - The animation team were very friendly and would ask us if we wanted to join in with games but not in an annoying/keeping on way. OUTINGS - My partner and I decided to go out for a few meals in the nights as we got bored of eating in the buffet restaurant. A taxi to Kos town was €8 which we thought was reasonable. We went to three lovely local restaurants which we would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Kos; C Mood & Food, Barbouni and Agkyra fish restaurant. The staff and food in all three were amazing! Moving on to the con’s: ROOM - When we first arrived in our room we noticed a few stains on the bedding and on closer inspection also found stains on the curtains, sofa and wallpaper. There was what looked like a fag burn/hole on the sheets on the day bed and the wallpaper in our room was also peeling off the walls. In the bathroom the mirror looked dirty and the shower door leaked to the point where there would be a pool of water around the bathroom floor. I have included photos of the curtains, sofa, wallpaper and mirror. We complained to the guest relations manager as we expected our room in a ‘5 star hotel’ to be clean. She apologised and made sure the sheets on both beds were changed immediately. She also said that the curtains and sofa had been dry cleaned but the stains won’t come out, to which we replied ‘that’s not our issue and we have paid to stay in a 5 star luxury hotel’. We thought the room was outdated and could do with a refurb. Another thing to mention is there wasn’t much privacy between the toilet and bedroom area, which wasn’t an issue for us as a couple but might be for families and we were only given one room key which can be slightly annoying. There was an occasion where we didn’t receive any towels in our room although the cleaners had taken the old ones and the 2 litre bottle of water (which is complimentary) wasn’t replenished in our room for three days in a row. BUFFET/AL A CARTE - The only minor issue we had was the cats that would wander around the seating areas and sometimes inside the restaurants (although I think this is just a Greek thing). My boyfriend also didn't think the buffet lunch hours were long enough. BARS - We found some of the staff on the pool bars to be rude. There was no bottled water for all inclusive green band guests, apart from a bottle which is replenished in your room daily. To be able to have bottled water from the bars you would need a gold band which was €30 per person per day extra. We ended up going to the super market next door and getting a pack of bottled water for €2.50 and kept them in our mini bar (which was empty). When taking any drinks back to your room you would be given a plastic cup which felt cheap and unnecessary. Some of the all inclusive cocktails were out of a bottle and sometimes the adults only bar area in the lobby would have children in. POOL AREA - There was no waiter service around the pool which most 5 start hotels (that I have stayed in) offer. ENTERTAINMENT - This was way to loud in the nights and because of that I would not call this a child friendly hotel. The entertainment in the nights was in the centre of the resort by the main pool and wouldn’t end until 11/11.30pm. COMPENSATION - The guest relations manager was very helpful and kindly offered us a couples massage, an extra night at the Italian Al a carte and a free cabana by the pool for the rest of our stay to compensate for our issues. We really appreciated this and throughly enjoyed the couple massage! Our overall conclusion is that this hotel has great potential to be 5 star luxury but just isn’t at that standard currently. Instagram and Facebook photo’s can be slightly deceiving and makes it looks better than what we experienced. The hotel was in a good location and took us 25/30 minutes to walk to the town. I would give this hotel 3.5/5 stars and unfortunately won’t be staying here in the future. We would give this hotel 3.5/5 stars and unfortunately we won’t be staying here in the future.

! Room: The room was nice, bed very comfy and cleaned to a reasonable standard. Our room was also a conjoining room for some reason and the room could be noisy as we could hear the people next door quite clearly. We were in room 415 which could be quite noisy as near the pool bar but we still managed to sleep. Pool: pools are good and very clean, freezing cold but that is due to the temperature outside! They have cabana beds which they charger €15 euros for and also ones with a roof and table which are €30 which is disgusting for 4* plus hotel. Presentation: The hotel itself is beautifully presented and lots of places to sit. It does appear clean and tidy. All inclusive: The first issue we encountered was the lack of all inclusive we asked for a standard cocktail at the bar and was told it was 7 euros there are only around 6 cocktails included at each bar. They also charger for lattees, capuchino and other basic drinks! The food is a good standard for all inclusive the theme nights were good and the snack bar has a good variety! The issue is the tables are never set and you wait a while for drinks and if you ask for sugar, salt and pepper etc. It’s like they are being rationed. The food trays will often be left empty or partially filled for long periods and you have to wear gloves and a mask at all times when in the buffet unless seated! Location: The hotel is a considerable distance from the town we walked to Kos on the first evening at it took over an hour despite us being quite fast walkers, there is a slightly quicker way but it is incredibly dark and we didn’t feel safe to walk in the evening! Service: When I read the reviews about the staff it didn’t bother me as we are very laid back and didn’t imagine it would bother us however the service really is shocking the restaurant staff seem to really struggle with any requests you ask and almost always forge. They would rarely come over so you could ask them for what you need. The bar service is also poor there is a female server at the bar by the pool who is friendly but a couple of the men including one at the reception bar who are just rude and regularly offended us rolling their eyes when you asked for a a drink. The male at the lobby bar practically snubbed my friend when he asked for a cocktail during a quiet evening at the bar. I would say the worst part about this hotel is the lack of “inclusiveness” Everything that shod be included isn’t; coffees as mentioned before, milkshakes, pina colada and many other basic cocktails and I’m fact they will charge you extra for anything they can. Our friends got engaged and we asked at guest relations if they could do anything in their room and they said they could lay some rose petals and candles for €40 … no offer of anything at all for free! It’s a decent hotel but the staff and lack of all inclusive completely ruin this and I would certainly never return

I came to Kos for a solo trip and stayed in various different places on the island and my last spot was Kos town. Pelagos suites is stunning the views from the hotel are breathtaking !!! the layout , the design , the room size everything was perfect The staff were extremely accommodating especially the staff that works by the bars during pool hours , in particular Jona who worked at the quieter pool was lovely !!!! I highly recommend going to the spa and speaking to the spa team Luisa is the spa manager and honestly she is the most amazing person I’ve spoken to on this trip. The facilities are very clean and the spa still have a very good variety of treatments ( I looked around the island and many spas were not doing satin treatments due to Covid) So on my first night I went to ask if there’s any availability for a treatment on my birthday which was the last day of my stay. Luisa was friendly , Kind and went through all the treatments and explain to me the benefits of having certain treatments. There was absolutely no pressure to book anything , she’d give you the booklet you can take it to your room and have a read it was really really nice. The spa have very limited appointments spaces this is because they are amazingly good !!! My appointment was 2 pm on the 22nd of October which is my birthday I walk into the spa and spa stuff have a little cake with a candle in it sang me happy birthday and had me make a wish 🥺❣️ This definitely made my whole entire trip and I’m so grateful and thankful that the staff did this for me! Then I went for the serenity massage which I highly recommend it’s a full body massage and it genuinely made my body feel so much better !! I also had the black lava facial I’ve never had a facial before in my life and I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for …. My only regret is not staying at Pelagos suites for longer. If I could turn back time I would’ve stayed the whole week But it just means that I have to come back !! If you’re about to visit you are in luck enjoy your stay there and make sure to go book at the spa :) Pros The staff are very friendly The spa manager Luisa and the spa team Will go above and beyond if you are in doubt about a treatment please go and speak to them !! Loads of facilities for both adults and children e.g. the gym / child’s play area Loads of variety at the buffet style restaurant The beach is across the road Cons Not something that actually can be changed but the walk to kos city is not the nicest if you walk from the front entrance so make sure to walk from the beachfront.
