The Relais du Cap is an unimposing two story building at the south end of a beautiful short rocky beach that looks west towards the coast beyond St Florent. The situation is stunning and marvellous for sea lovers because one is immediately by the ocean. The plain exterior hides several simple but comfortable double rooms, some with shower, and one very comfortable apartment with sitting room overlooking the ocean, double bedroom, bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The owners are very helpful and considerate. There are several local walks through beautiful countryside and at least six good quality restaurants within 15 minutes drive.

It's a quiet and lovely place, Patrick is extremely welcoming. We just want to come back asap! The breakfast facing the sea is outstanding. It's very very good value for money. Unfortunately, after the 1st of October there are not many open restaurants around, that's the only disadvantage.

We had a perfect stay in August.
It is right on the quiet beach/bay, with a perfect view out, though it can be a bit noisy if the weather is bad and the waves are crashing on the rocks at night (that only happened one night). The rooms are nice, neat and clean (though of course we spent almost all of the day outside).

Patrick is a superb host, he somehow magically appears when you have a question, but otherwise it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. It is about 30-45 mins drive west of Bastia, and well-situated to see the north end of Corsica - maybe a little far to day-trip south beyond Corte. We had plans to drive around, but it was usually too hard to tear ourselves away from the beautiful beach and the terrace overlooking it.

Hope to come back soon!

A simple, friendly, quirky guest house with stunning views over the sea. The rooms are basic, but perfectly fine for a few nights, with shared - but definitely adequate - bathroom facilities. Breakfast on the terrace is a treat, and there is plenty of space for outdoor cooking and relaxing on sun loungers. The bar/restaurant a short walk away is wonderful: friendly and well priced and an ideal spot to watch the amazing sunsets. The best thing about the holiday was the host, Patrick. He is attentive and generous: from offering glasses of rosé wine, to writing out directions to the hospital in Bastia, to hosing down our car as we left, he couldn't do enough for us. He and his daughter Gaelle made it a wonderful final stop on out Corsican holiday. Recommended!

We spent four superb night here in August. The rooms are basic but very clean and with all that one needs. The owner excels in providing helpful service including an optional and delicious breakfast next to the sea. I highly recommend Relais du Cap.

Every year we spend longer here - it really does draw you back. The rooms are basic, and you share the bathroom, but if you can cope with this, then you will absolutely love staying here. The location is amazing, and the sunsets are unbeatable. Patrick is a wonderful host, and he has taken great care to ensure that there is everything there that you could possible need.

Relais du Cap is one of those places that one can only dream of when searching for B&Bs. The location, whilst not being on one of Corsica's prettiest beaches, is lovely and the smell of fresh ocean air and the waves rolling against the shore makes for a unique experience. Be warned though: if there is lots of wind and waves, then the sound of them crashing against the shore can be quite something!

The rooms face the sea and are perfectly adequate containing a little wash basin and the one we had had a bidet (room 2). They also had a nice little touch with a torch provided, water bottles and some nice decorations inspired by the sea. There was a separate WC as well as shower with WC which was clean tidy (the soap dispenser was almost empty though). We also weren't bothered with any mosquitos unlike when we went to the south!

Breakfast in the morning consists of a simple continental breakfast with fruits, cereals, baguettes all beautifully laid out facing the sea with a map of Cap Corse on the surface of the table.

Patrick and his daughter Gaelle were very friendly with Patrick even giving our car a wash of water with a hose as salt could build up on the car in his view! There is a nice bar overlooking the sea at the beginning of the road where one can get pizzas, fish etc; otherwise it's a 15 drive to some local villages or towns to get some food. This didn't bother us as we spent most of the days out and would stop off at local restaurants on the way back. There are cooking facilities as well if need be.

With an hour's drive or so from Bastia, Relais du Cap is well positioned to explore the island as as we did the north in one day and drove down to Calvi and the surrounding areas on another.

Overall, Relqis du Cap is a lovely place to be based to explore Cap Corse with charming hospitality to match. Oh, how could I forget, "Punkie" the cat is adorable and very friendly too.

Don't know how we found it, but it is a treasure, most amazing position, best breakfast on our 2 weeks in Corsica, and Patrick is a gem. He went above and beyond for us while we were there. The rooms are basic but the view from them sublime. Shared bathroom facilities, but with only 4 rooms it is not a problem at all. We only had 2 nights there, I could stay there for 2 weeks. Such a good base to see the top of Corsica.
