#1 of 14 B&Bs / Inns in Burnham-On-Sea
This mature house was built at the turn of the 20th century and converted to a guest house in 2003. The house retains many attractive period features. We aim to maintain very high standards throughout the house whilst providing you with excellent service during your stay. We are ideally situated just a 70 metres from the seafront and a short 5 minute walk to the town centre, with shops, restaurants and pubs. All of our guest rooms are en-suite and all have been recently refurbished in 2016/17. All rooms have a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities as well as access to the internet using WiFi. St Aubyn's also has a small indoor heated pool (7m x 3m) for our guests. We are also able to provide an off-street parking space for each room. Mark & Simon would love to welcome you to our home. If you'd like to ask any questions, or to get the best possible rates, then please call us. You can find our details by searching for "St Aubyn's Guest House Burnham-on-Sea".

We stayed at St. Aubyns for 4 nights. On arrival Mark appeared and promptly helped us in with our luggage, then made us both a welcoming cup of coffee. Both he and Simon chatted for awhile, making us feel at home, finding out about us and also telling us about the Guest House and area. Mark showed us the lovely swimming pool before helping us up to our room with our luggage. We had a small double room as we were abit late booking (seems this place books quickly with re visiting guests and we now know why) but it was big and spacious. After we unpacked our cases were taken into another room out the way to give us more room. Bed was so comfy and clean as was the whole room, spotless and lovely decor. The shower is probably the most powerful we have ever encountered and a joy to get under. En suite as the bedroom-spotless. We had a form to fill in ticking what we would like for breakfast, so much choice. We had a swim on the first day and was a lovely way to unwind and start our stay, its good you can choose what time you like to use it so you have pool to yourself, being small (but actually big for a small indoor pool) its better this way. Both boyfriend and myself had a lovely time in there. We went to the Railway pub for our evening meal, which did lovely, basic down to earth food at almost give away prices. Next morning we went down for breakfast, where greeted. The food on offer was a good selection, juice, fruit salad (made fresh every morning and a massive serving-delicious) yoghurt, sometimes croissants, assortment of toast, then the cooked. Mark was a great host bringing our food and drink and chatting whilst Simon did most of the cooking. It was so beautifully presented and was plentiful. 10 out of 10 for the home made/fresh cooking, all superb. We had different things each day we stayed some days having more than others, depending how hungry we were, but after breakfast we had to lay down for awhile. The fruit salad was gorgeous esp with yoghurt and Simons Croissants just like his cakes were so light and fresh, top marks. Throughout our stay both were very attentive and treated us not as guests but part of their home, which haven't experienced before in a guest house, this was lovely as made you feel so relaxed. They took a genuine interest in every one and made time for anything you needed. As we came on public transport, Simon kindly offered to drop us off one down to Brean Down so we could walk over (we took a picnic) was a lovely walk and stunning day for it weather wise. Little things like this, shows how dedicated they are and very kind individuals. They made you feel incredibly welcome into their home and not just renting a room. We would've loved to have stayed in the four poster room, hopefully we will one day. The room we had was great and the cost very good. On reflection we think they undersell themselves by what they charge, as they go out of their way for their guests and Simons cakes go down a treat with a tea or coffee in the afternoons. We would highly recommend St Aubyns on all levels, it made our stay at Burnham very relaxing. The house itself is beautiful and superbly maintained inside and out. Mark and Simon, thanks for being such, kind and wonderful hosts and welcoming us into your home, hope we do it again soon. Nick and Melinda

From the moment we arrived (and were greeted by all of or names) at St Aubyn’s Guest House it was like being with good friends. Mark and Simon are the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts. The communication before your holiday and then throughout your stay is excellent. The rooms are so clean and so comfortable!! We stayed in the family room which was spacious, well equipped with refreshments, towels, hairdryer etc and just perfect for our family of four. The swimming pool is a real treat, which we were able to enjoy safely, as guests are encouraged to plan ahead with Mark so that each family has the pool for their exclusive use at a time to suit them. The gardens are kept so beautifully and it’s a pleasure to sit in the pretty seating areas, with the offer of freshly made delicious cake, excellent coffee and any other refreshment you could need. The breakfasts are absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection!!! Wonderfully tasty sausages, bacon, eggs and all the trimmings. Beautiful homemade bread (my gluten free choice being kindly catered for too) Mark and Simon go above and beyond to make sure that each member of the family is perfectly catered for and every single morsel of food the four of us enjoyed during our stay with them was excellent! My daughter especially loved the hash browns!! We really can’t wait to visit Mark and Simon at St Aubyns again and whole heartedly recommend this beautiful guest house to everyone visiting the Somerset area.
