We have had an amazing time at Sandy Meadows. The lodge was spotless and hot tub even better. Cleaned twice daily. Beds were comfortable and equipped with everything you need (washing machine, dishwasher etc) Really quiet round the lodges at night time and weren’t over looked when in the hot tub. We had a lodge that slept 8 people and we all said how spacious it was, we weren’t on top of each other at all. The sister site Sandy Glade which is a few minute walk away has all the entertainment facilities including clubhouse, swimming pool, shop, arcade and cafe. The entertainment ‘Stripeys’ were amazing, kept both kids and adults entertained every night with kids games, character meet and greets, kids bingo, prizes, bingo, bingo beats, singers, karaoke etc. Bar prices and the Foxy Shop prices for merchandise was very well priced. Big thanks to Luke, Becks and Jess for making our holiday extra special, my little boy took a real shining to Luke especially and was so sad on our last night to have to say goodbye. Swimming pool is a decent size and warm, easy system to book online just wish it was for longer time slots but one hour was adequate. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The shop has everything you need to top up your stay and the cafe sells breakfast, lunch and tea, the pizzas were really nice. The arcade could do with a revamp as a lot of the machines were broken and you needed a lot of tokens to get anything good from the kiosk. We ended up giving our 365 tokens to another family to use as there wasn’t anything worthwhile getting. But apart from that our stay has been amazing, we have all really enjoyed it. We have already been looking to come back next year. Thank you to everyone at Sandy Glade and Sandy Meadows for an unforgettable holiday! We can’t wait to see you again!

just returned from short break in  Lodge 525 it is  stunning and   highly recommended.
We recieved a phone call from John to organise an early check in which was appreciated.
We had a few reservations about the covid restrictions but were very impressed with everything.   John ecplained that the lodge was sealed and sanitised with a fogging machine. Everything was spotlessly clean and had ever thing you could possibly need. We were visited by both John and Carol to ensure everything was ok and Carol showed us a hot tub lodge for future booking.
Well done to John Fowler for putting in place stringent covid measures and a special big thank you to John and Carol the housekeeping managers who went over and above to ensure our stay was perfect. You made us feel special and will certainly be coming again.

Myself and my husband normally go abroad but didn't want to risk it with Covid so booked a last minute deal here for a 3 bedroomed Gold Lodge, and it was the last lodge available so we got in there quick! The reviews were excellent but you never really know what to expect but to be honest we were just grateful for a break during these difficult times!

Upon arrival at 4.45 were advised the lodge was ready and the check in staff were really friendly, no queues and very straight forward. The lodge itself was amazing, it smelled fresh, was spotless and had everything we needed for a week away. The extra space meant we could spread ourselves out a bit and self catering facilities were great. Several nights we had a couple of drinks in the Dunes Clubhouse where it was well organised and tables were socially distanced with table service and contactless payment too, so a good start. We also ordered from the food outlet on site which was fine and convenient and all the staff were friendly too. We particularly liked the location as Sandy Meadows was quiet and peaceful and was overlooking countryside where you could see the cows and horses in the fields and some lovely walks too. It was about a 10 minutes walk into Brean where we passed a couple of bars on the way which were overlooking the beach and it really helped that we had glorious weather for the week that we were there. We liked it so much that I think we may even book to go back again next year. So thank you Sandy Meadows we had a great time and the staff were lovely too!!

Hello Trace from Dudley Thank you very much for leaving us such a fantastic 5 star review, we really appreciate it. Your comments have been passed on to all departments. It is obviously very difficult for our staff working in entirely new circumstances, but in true John Fowler Holiday tradition everyone is stepping up to the mark. We are very fortunate with the location of our park in such an amazing part of Somerset and all that it has to offer. Being on the edge of the village yet in the countryside, the location is perfect, as you found. We are delighted that you were able to share that experience. I am pleased to hear that you may be coming back to see us again, let’s hope that it’s quite soon - our returning customers are so important to us. Pat Guest Relations

My partner and I had a great break at Sandy Meadows. We were in 540, a Gold hot tub 3 bed. The manager contacted us in advance and arranged an early check in that was very convenient for us and also avoided contact with other customers checking in. The lodge was immaculately clean and the hot tub was amazing. Every morning maintenance came and checked it first thing, which was very reassuring. Housekeeping also gave us a courtesy call to make sure everything was fine, which it was. The kitchen had everything we needed as it was well stocked with utensils, crockery and cutlery. We would highly recommend it and we look forward to returning for another break.

Tired lodge 539 outside thought it could do with a jet wash on arrival days settee felt like you are sitting on the floor it was for 6 people and only cutlery for 6 very basic tools and dishes . Plenty of storage in kitchen mattress all very soft .me and my husband had the master bedroom quite small bathroom the radiator was very dirty and rusty shower was hot and powerful all was clean but not as clean as I would of like and a old fashion dust pan and brush no hoover to quickly run over the carpets . A short walk to main area of camp site what a shock club house to small for the site hardly any staff very hot in there mad to be fair entertainment not good just a girl getting the kids to stand up sit down do this do that take a shoe off all of you put it in a black bag and the one she pulls out is a winner . People go over there at 4 order food to be delivered there and don’t move all night so no chance of getting a table also they save tables for friends . We will not be returning there even my daughter that was with us with her boys and husband said the same thing

Me and my partner stayed Mon to Fri and took my elderly parents with us. We both had a platinum hot tub lodge.
There lodge was great hot tub fab very private they enjoyed there stay however my lodge was slightly dissapointing hot tub was cold and didn't Warm up till the Thursday air vent above head in bedroom which blew a draft on my head I didn't sleep however both lodges were clean and modern and had everything we needed well looked after.
Park is peaceful however needs more lighting my mom uses a scooter and tipped over up curb due to not being able to see kirb and we were using torches. Very dark in places
Entertainment was OK better than expected for out of season.
Swimming pool was closed due to heating problem so did not use.
Good site beach nearby and ideal for a base we went into burnham and weston and had a great time
Would return but based on first visit and not this one
Very good value and nice lodges on a peaceful site with friendly staff

We have stayed in Brean several times and love it but this was the first time we had stayed in Sandy Meadows Lodge park. The lodge was fantastic really luxurious I could not fault it however we always take our dog on holiday with us and this was advertised as dog friendly. We booked her in and paid £35 for her for the three nights which we were happy to pay.

However when we got there the staff were mortified that we had a dog and told us we could not walk her on the park, this made me feel very unwelcome and nervous. I was supposed to be relaxing but I was on edge al the time worried that someone would see my dog. I have been holidaying with dogs for over twenty years and have never been made to feel like this

This park is not dog friendly and should not be advertised as so.

Hello The Cain Family I have read your review with mixed feelings and welcome your thoughts on the lodges at The Sandy Meadows Lodge Park. They have been an amazing addition to the company over the last few years and I am delighted to read that you were able to share in their success. However, I am simply lost for words over your comments about us not being dog friendly. In the history of John Fowler Holidays we have always taken pets and have a number of pet-friendly units on all our parks including this one. I have checked your booking and can see that you are booked into a pet unit, you have paid for the pet, (£25 incidentally not £35 as you suggest) and the staff would have been fully aware of the situation. We are fortunate that just across the main road from our park we have miles of beach where a pet can run freely - our only restriction is that you keep your dog on a lead while walking on the park. Unfortunately, it is too late now for us to have any chance of an investigation and can only conclude from this unfortunate incident that there must have been a major misunderstanding. We’ve just got back from a fabulous long weekend! The pictures on the website don’t do the lodges justice, it was spotlessly clean and very spacious! We all had towells provided on our beds, we had a welcome back, containing biscuits, tea, coffee and cleaning essentials. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and on the decking area, the weather was glorious all weekend so was nice to be able to sit out. The park was peaceful and well maintained. We didn’t realise it was a 60s theme, all the acts were fantastic and my children really enjoyed to mini disco. We booked swimming and the pool was clean, and very quiet, which my girls thought was great. This was our third visit this year, but our first on Sandy Meadows, and we wasn’t disappointed! All the staff were friendly and helpful, although the emergency number went straight to answer phone, we had to call as our boiler went off, but we was able to fix it ourselves, and didn’t need them in the end. We stayed in 529, which slept 6, there was one double room with a walk in wardrobe and full en-suite, and then two twin rooms, and one bathroom, and a large kitchen, lounge area, everything was spotlessly clean on arrival. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Sandy meadows is lovely quiet park connected to a large park with pool and club .
I visited bank holiday weekend in August and the following weekend we had lodge 512 which is dog friendly and has great views .
We had 540 the other weekend both had hot tubs on balcony .hot tub gets checked twice a day by a pleasant man that has the time to chat.
Both lodges were clean and spacious kitchen has washing machine and dish washer .
You might have to queue for club as low numbers allowed at the minute.
Swimming pool you book a slot at reception.
Shop well stocked.
Little walk to centre.
I have to say I loved the lodges wish id booked one before and I've already booked for next year I would have loved another weekend this year but fully booked.
Only one small complaint is its very dark when you return from the club needs better lighting .
I would recommend this site and john fowler to families with young or older children and the lodges are great id recommend to anyone.

Excellent site excellent lodge highly recommend
We stayed in a gold hot tub lodge and had a brilliant time.
The beds were comfortable and u get an en suite bathroom to the master bedroom and a separate bathroom which is en suite to one of the twin rooms and u get a bath with overhead shower.
The hot tub was excellent and warm everytime we went in.
We had an issue with the lights in the living room rang reception and sent a man out straight away very efficient and quick to resolve.
Overall excellent break despite the weather which didn't bother us.

We just got back from a week in a 3 bed platinum Lodge. Yes there Is an iron but it's not very good unfortunately. We didn't bother using it. If you can take a travel iron i would definitely recommend that.
