Booked here through Jet2 staying in a superior appartment, room 102, located on ground floor next to the swimming pool. The room was modern, roomy and comfortable with a twin bedroom and sofa bed in lounge, excellent A/C and shower, however it could have been any where in the world, there was no Greek influence in the decor, only the toilet paper bin, which was only emptied twice during our weeks stay. Considering this was a superior room there was lack of what would normally be expected, no tea towel, wash up liquid/cloth, pegs, ice cube tray. The pool was gated, opened at 9.30am and locked at 7.30pm so there was no pool noise after that time, we didn't find our daytime disturbed at all by the pool or pool bar. However the race for sunbeds started with a queue at the pool gate at 9am when, once opened, all the sunbeds were 'reserved' with towels then most of the towel owners went back to their rooms to return later. There is a serious shortage of sunbeds considering the size of the complex. The hotel however is only a short walk to the beautiful beach of Stoupa, and sunbeds are either free or reasonably priced there. The room had a very large balcony which sadly had the studios above A/C overflow dripping onto it, there was black mould formed around the pools of stagnant water, not very pleasant, but the mosquitos loved it. The staff were all very professional and friendly, especially the pool barman. Although there were a few negatives for us we would still recommend this hotel as a good, quiet, relaxing place to stay in Stoupa.

Not sure were to start, there are so many positives about this hotel, staff and Stoupa. The hotel is a nice size - about 32 rooms, located on a quiet road and about a 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful horseshoe bay and beach. There is a large supermarket on the main road 10 minutes walk away, like a Greece Tesco's (you do not see or hear the road/supermarket from the hotel) The rooms are of an excellent standard for Greece (which can be basic) Our room overlooked the mountains - wonderful views and very peaceful. We booked with Jet2 holidays and included in the price was a kettle, toaster, safe and air conditioning in the rooms. (reviews we read, said you have to pay extra for the kettle and toaster - this is not true) The shower was powerful and there was lots of hot water every day. There are three ladies on reception who were very welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our stay was just perfect. Pete runs the bar and a tight ship around the pool. The bar/pool area was spotless throughout our stay. We are not big drinkers and never drink in the day. Therefore we spent very little at the bar. But unlike other places we have stayed at in the past Pete made us just as welcome as the keen drinkers. Thank you for that Pete, it made a real difference to our holiday - we felt very welcome. The hotel has a full size pool table which is 5 euros for an hour - excellent value. The resort has lots of wonderful places to dine out around the bay, all excellent. The resort is traditionally Greek with lots of Greek families on holiday. There are two great beaches either side of Stoupa. Stoupa beach has been taken over by sunbeds which was our only negative related to the resort. It would have been nice to have half sand/beach and half sunbeds, lots of people we spoke to also felt the same. We will be back ! Thank you for such a wonderful holiday. JUST PERFECT !!! Rooms were basic but spacious with everything that we needed. Had a balcony off the bedroom and another off the living room. 1 slight niggle was the pool area opening at 9.30 and the pool bar closing at 6.30. Would be nice to have had a drink around the pool bar before heading out for dinner. I realise the hotel bar was open inside but people didn't tend to use it as I believe they would rather be outside. Overall a lovely hotel with great staff. I would recommend this hotel.

We visited for the first two weeks of June flying from Birmingham. Luggage was transported from the coach to hotel. Arrived at reception at about 10.30 and were met with friendly staff and after filling in a couple of forms were taken to our rooms. Luggage arrived quickly and delivered to our doors. Our family had three rooms - 102 (superior apartment), 208 (studio) and 302 (superior studio) although I could have got the titles wrong! 102 was next to the pool and the bar and was of a standard I never expected to see in Greece! We were told it had been refurbished one month ago and it looked brand new and very modern. Large outside space but with just a view of the private next-door garden. TVs in living room and bedroom. 208 was a small studio but looked recently refurbished. 302 was a large studio with views of the mountains. All rooms had a toaster, kettle, TV but only BBC news in English, a free safe (102 you need to get the key from reception), 208 and 302 set your own code, free air con, though 208 and 302 ask not to set lower than 24C. We ate out all the time so can’t comment on the cooking things. There are two networks for Wi-Fi, one for the pool and reception areas and one for the rooms you need to join both. Reception was adequate especially outside on the balconies. Excellent cleaning and linen changes every three days. For people who fret about toilet rolls we started with one and finished with four. Soap and small vials of shower gel and shampoo provided. We did not use the pool preferring the sea, good job as all the sunbeds seemed to be occupied most of the day. The pool and pool area does not open until 9.30 to allow the area to be cleaned. People started waiting from before 9.00. Lots of books in the reception area and a pool table (5euros an hour). Peter who runs the poolside bar is very friendly. A few metres down the road toward the beach, next to a nice small shrine, is a tap for the spring water which is all we used. The location is excellent just five minutes down a slight slope to the beach and 10minutes to the large supermarket. It should be obvious from the above that we were delighted with our choice and would definitely return. I would be happy to answer any questions.

It’s been 4 years since we visited Stoupa and George’s Estate Hotel and were delighted with the upgrades to the accommodation. Fantastic holiday, lovely staff and plenty of sunshine. A very easy walk to the harbour which has plenty of great restaurants.

Having been to stoupa pre-covid (2018/19) we were looking forward to returning. The hotel itself is nice and the room we had was nice but we wouldn’t return. The reason why is because it’s just too busy. When we’ve visited stoupa in the past the hotels we stayed in were very quiet, so much so that you almost had the pool to yourself. Here was totally different, the pool was busy every single day with families with noisy kids. We spent most of our holiday at the beach because we couldn’t be doing with the noise. If you like peace and quiet then I recommend that you choose another hotel.

Everything you would want for a Stoupa holiday. Rooms are more spacious than most, the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Linen and towels changed every three days. The pool area is clean and Pete, who ran the pool bar, couldn't be better. Stoupa has it all, if you want a quiet holiday and George's location and quality tops it off. Returning next year, what more can I say, other than book up early as it's in great demand.

I can only comment on a few aspects of the George's Estates as there were a number of covid restrictions imposed by the Greek govt which limited the opening of certain areas - The reception staff are fantastic - friendly and helpful, the same goes for Pete the pool bar manager. The hotel and grounds are kept spotless. Room was a good size but could do with a little more wardrobe space. Room cleaned, bedding and towels changed every 3 days - not a problem. Great views of the mountains from room 207. Will definitely return in the coming years. Also great location 5min walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, shops and supermarket.

Reviewed once before but in my opinion is now even better. All the staff from Maria (Owner), Pete the pool bar man, the two girls on reception who both spoke excellent English and even the very polite cleaner who we saw perhaps twice (although room was cleaned every 3 days) were all polite and very helpful. Pete - always said hello even though we rarely used the pool bar - and always had useful info. The two girls on reception dealt with any questions I had quickly and politely - mainly around the covid tests for return - and a special mention to Maria who went beyond helpful by offering a lift there and back to the clinic for the rapid tests for the return journey. How may owners would do that in their own time? We were in room 101 - spot on...just what is needed but as previously posted...wouldn't mind a toaster (I forgot to ask again) and perhaps a little tweak would be a cloth to do the limited pot washing we did? Well maintained and clean. Felt very safe and despite only 10 mins tops walk to shops, bar, beach, tavernas...nice and quiet. Pool looks good but we prefer the beach... We enjoyed finally being able to get back to Greece so much we're coming back. Already booked for next June in a superior studio so Maria and her staff will have to put up with my silly questions again.
