We really enjoyed staying here. You do need a car to get here. Besides the village at walking distance with a few restaurants and of course Mount Etna at about 20 minutes by car on winding roads, there is not much to do. But that doesn't have to be a problem as the hotel offers great views over the mountains...

The hotel was rated 9.6 when I was looking for one. Actually it deserves 10 - not less. The location is very comfortable for traveling to Taormina or Catania. The place is quite, beautiful and very good management by a great family- with dearest Sara on the front. Great breakfast almost everything homemade. Great service above anything regular. Best recommend...

The location is a bit out of the way but we were able to find it easily with Google Maps. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and given a choice of rooms. We selected a smaller room because it seemed a bit more private and had access onto a large patio with comfortable benches overlooking the valley. The on-site restaurant...

We stayed here for one week at the beginning of September, primarily to see Mount Etna but also to visit the surrounding area including Taormina. From the moment we arrived we were looked after superbly by Sara ( one of the owners) and her staff. They really could not do enough for you and managed to do this without being...

My wife and I spent three nights at this hotel in order to discover the area and above all to see Mount Etna. From our arrival (which was very late due to a delay of our flight in) until our departure we were overwhelmed by the friendlyness of all the staff. This family-owned hotel (mama in the kitchen, daddy clearly...

We were instantly greeted by one of the Petralia family members who own and run the place. Made us feel at home at all times. The place is beautiful with greenery all the way to the sea and Mount Etna right behind us. The accommodation was beautiful, well kept place and comfortable rooms. After every night we were asked about...

What a delightful place!! Imagine a kind of small village at the foot of the volcano, with a 360 view from the sea, terraces filled with olive and lemon trees and the volcano in the background. It has been renovated with great taste (and love) by a family, who runs the place very efficiently, with a wonderful sense of hospitality....

This is a wonderful, small, family-run hotel just outside of Zafferana Aetnea. It was the most wonderful hotel stay I've had. The hospitality is warm, from the swimming pool area there are breath-taking views of the Ionian sea and (to a lesser extent) Mount Etna, the rooms are comfortable, everything is immaculate, and both breakfast and dinner delicious (dinner is...

We had intended to use this hotel as a base to explore the east coast of Sicily. The hotel was such a fantastic place we actually limited our exploration so as to enjoy the relaxation it afforded. The food provided by Sara and the family was exceptional in quality and proportions. If you are going to visit the Etna region,...

We spent three nights in this charming property off the beaten track. It's in a beautiful location looking out to the coast with the regularly rumbling Mt Etna behind. Staying here feels like staying with family (that you like!). The warmth of the owners was obvious from the second you arrive and they are on a never ending mission to...
