Isla Bank House is a family-run B&B in the heart of the Scottish Highlands only a stone’s throw away from some of the world’s oldest and most revered whisky distilleries. Built in the late 1880’s its rooms are spacious and bright offering guests comfortable and elegant accommodation. 3 of our rooms are Kingsize Suites with Private Bathrooms and Garden Views, and one is a queen twin with private bathroom.
We are adult only. We do not cater for under 18s.
All our prices include breakfast. We have a range of impressive reception spaces which can be configured on request for small corporate events, parties or private dining. Keith and the villages in the Moray region are friendly and active places year round with events and attractions that draw visitors from across the globe. This was our last stop in Scotland. While there was a snafu with our booking between the agent and the B&B, they rolled with the punches and because they had space they accommodated us. The rooms were beautifully restored and cozy. Breakfast ordering was a unique process and the food delightful. Don’t miss out on the B&B and their beautiful grounds.

We were touring Scotland by train and wanted to visit a distillery. Rather than taking a group tour from a larger city, we decided to stop in Keith. We found that both the Strathisla Distillery and the Isla Bank House were a short walk from the train station and we wouldn't need to hassle with transportation. We loved the Isla Bank House - the room was comfortable with a weloming dram of whisky. We had a nice dinner at there - the chicken curry was excellent but the rubarb crumble was one of the best desserts we have ever had. Breakfast was first rate. In addition to the excellent distillery tour and tasting we also had a nice walk around Keith. This short stop turned out to be one of the highlings of our Scotland visit. Next time we may try to use it as a base to see other sites in the area…

Such a pleasure to have you both here, Jim. There's so much to see when you take a walk around Keith it's well worth it. It's a historic town, The First Scots Toun. The first scots toun is a Scottish Government accolade awarded to communities who celebrate and promote their linguistic culture. Isla Bank House is also one of the most historic houses in the town having been built be the Mill owner Colonel George Kynoch back in the mid to late 1800s. Thank you for appreciating what we do to give guests the opportunity to enjoy their time with us.

Keith is a quiet town and this is a peaceful spot for a night's sleep, with the added experience of staying in a fine Victorian mansion with lots of nice touches. The décor is carefully chosen, and better still there's no intrusive television to ruin the peace. There's no shower either, but that's OK if you're not in a hurry. Breakfast is spot-on and the owners (including a welcoming cat) are a mine of information about the area too.

We have found that most guests appreciate the peace and quiet and the opportunity to connect with who they are with without that distraction. Our baths are always a big hit too. Nick and Vena have the most beautiful Guest House. A very warm welcome awaits you, where nothing is a problem. A fabulous place to stay. A delightful setting, that delivers on comfort and peaceful restfulness. Certainly the very best Guest House experience I have ever had. This is such a wonderful review. Thank you. We work hard to create a beautiful, relaxing space for guests to enjoy. Wecarenso pleased that you loved it. Outside, we maintain 2.5 acres of lawns, beds, woods and a Walled Garden in which we grow our own fruits and vegetables. We use the produce in our meals which we cook ourselves. It's a busy old life but very worth it with feedback like this. Thank you again.

A lovely experience all around. Stayed a couple of nights for our anniversary and will definitely plan a trip back. Pretty grounds, beautiful and comfortable room and the hosts were fantastic! Delicious home-cooked dinner from their garden pair with great wine.

We had a delightful few days staying at Isla Bank House where we were made very welcome. The whole house is impressive and our room was particularly comfortable with its lovely views and a sense that we had our own wing of the house! We attended a wedding during our stay but a late return to the B&B was not a problem. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal there one evening - a bonus option when staying in a B&B.

My husband to be spent the night before our wedding here and also him and his best men got ready here. We then spent the night of the wedding here. Vena and nick were marvellous hosts and made us feel so welcome. The added bonus was having our photos taken here. We 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning.
