Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great experience. The couple was very welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely, as was the lounge area. Ended up conversing with Paul for hours, who was interesting and enjoyable to talk to. The breakfast was delicious. Eileen even asked if we had a preferred time for breakfast and it was ready as soon as we came down to eat. 10/10 only wish I spent more time there.

Paul and Eileen are superb hosts - not only is the place super comfy, but they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Excellent bathroom, comfy beds, and Eileen cooked up a breakfast to die for. We ended up asking Paul to join us for a dram, and we ended up talking late into the night - this by far was one of my favorite memories of my time in Scotland. If I had it to do again, I’d stay at Chapelhill for the whole time instead of bouncing around the countryside. 10/10 loved this place.

Paul and Eileen are fabulous hosts at their smallholding b&b just outside Keith, Morayshire. The views are stunning from the breakfast table window and the food is perfect and plentiful. Eileen's homemade granola is gorgeous (and she kindly gave me the recipe, which i shall be making this weekend) and eggs are fresh from the hens every day. The house is spotless, friendly, warm and welcoming and the hosts are pleased to help in any way they can and check you are happy with things regularly. The only improvement that would have added to the luxury of our stay would be a tv in the bedroom, though it was very pleasant to sit with our hosts during the evenings we were in and watch tv and chat with them in the living room. Access to the house is via a farm track which is passable with a low body car (carefully)!

Property is just a little off the beaten track, but when we got there we found Paul and Eileen were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them; the welcome and the quality of the accommodation and it’s cleanliness was superb. Very wide choice for breakfast - in fact, to be brief, we could not find one thing to criticise at Chapelhill Croft. When I left I had to admit to the hosts that after staying at many b & bs over the last fifty years or so, this was the best one I had ever stayed at.

Honestly can’t fault this place. I was working in the area and booked up here for 3 nights. The rooms are spotless, Paul and Eileen (The Boss) are excellent hosts, nothing was a problem. The breakfast was amazing, with that quality homemade bread. Peaceful area and great views as off the beaten track. Would highly recommend. Tip, drive slow going up the access road, it’s a proper farm road.

Though we arrived much past check-in (or anything resembling a decent hour) Eileen & Paul were waiting patiently with a warm welcome. If that wasn't enough trouble, I managed to get our car wedged over some rocks, and we simply couldn't revv it free. We were exhausted after a full day's drive and at our wits end. Paul and Eileen reassured us that they would work out a way to manouver the car free, and calmed our nerves with tea, biscuits and a lovely chat. The next morning, while they insisted we carry on with breakfasting, Paul and Ralph, another guest, very kindly spent nearly an hour testing a variety of methods the car free, after which they shimmied under the carriage to ensure it was undamaged. Legendary hospitality aside, we were unprepared for how charmed we were by the lovely home and the gorgeous environs. The pictures don't do it justice. Thank you, Eileen & Paul, for the lovely treat of your warm hospitality and your neighbourly help!

Eileen and Paul shared their lovely home nearby Keith with us. They try to help you wherever they can and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Paul's advises were perfectly acurate which lead us to some wonderful places, most importantly to a perfect spot for watching dolphins :) Eileen prepared us a delicious breakfast (made our day). Chapelhill croft is very clean and nothing can be faulted about it. we would totally recommend it! if we could have stayed longer we definitely would have done so. thanks for the pleasent stay

If you're in or around the Keith area and looking for lovely accommodation that's off the beaten track then I recommend this home from home. Run by 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet, I was made to feel so welcome from start to finish and was treated to great coffee, hearty breakfasts and home made ice cream! Clean and comfortable en-suite room in beautiful grounds so overall a wonderful experience and well worth a visit.
