Absolutely excellent accommodation in the most beautiful tranquil setting. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Accommodation was spotless, impeccable, attention to detail was second to none, comfortable and simply beautiful with the guest and their needs at the heart. We enjoyed every minute of the surrounding area too. We visited beautiful Cullen with its beautiful beach and viaduct and also Portknockie with the stunning Bow Fiddle Rock …. Hillhead Hideaways is a must!!!

We were lucky enough to stay here for a long weekend in October. This place is absolutely amazing! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.
The layout of the living pod is perfect and larger than we expected. The sofa bed was comfortable both as a relaxing place and bed. The kitchen area is exceptional and so well thought out. The dishwasher was a massive bonus for a family of 4. A very generous welcome pack of goodies is such a lovely touch. Way more than we ever expected. The pods are so snug and warm. The bathroom has a small heated towel rail for drying swimwear and towels. The supplied bathrobes and towels are so soft and fluffy, very luxurious!
The hot tub is perfect for 2 and comfortable for 4. The evening lights make it extra special when it is dark out. The pod is supplied with a brilliant Bluetooth speaker with can be used in any of the 3 pods.
This place is such an amazing place, we will certainly be returning.

Had an amazing weekend stay with my family at Hillhead Hideaways in August. The pods are in such a beautiful and peaceful location with everything you need for a relaxing break. Views from the hot tub are lovely. Everything about the pod was great, shower, wifi, comfy bed, welcome pack with breakfast essentials 🥚 🥓 🥛 🍷 🧈 🍞 🍪
Would definitely recommend Hillhead Hideaways and will definitely be rebooking. 🐐 🐑 🐄

Wow.... so our story is a little different. We had booked in to Glen Tanar Estate for a few days and had planned to get married there. Storm Arwen decided to wreak havoc and whilst we were making the 4hr journey down from Wick, we had a phone call to tell us the estate had no power and that we couldn't stay there and the wedding isn't looking likely to go ahead.
With stress levels high, we scrambled to find somewhere with a hot tub and came across here. A quick call to Vicky and she put our minds at ease and offered (short notice) to get the Knockan cabin ready quickly. Whilst on our way there, Vicky phoned to tell us the water supply was off but they'd notified Scottish Water and Adam had left to buy us plenty of water.
Both welcomed us upon arrival and we were simply taken aback at how beautiful the cabins are. Stunning.
We stayed the night and destressed in the hot tub but the next morning, with 24hrs until the wedding and not a clue where we could stay or what we would do..... we asked Vicky if we could stay another two nights. She agreed and gave us an amazing special discount.
One of my best men was called offshore to the USA but had been in touch with Vicky and Adam to arrange for wine, food and decorations for us. Vicky went out of her way right away to go and do this.
To top it off, Vicky and Adam got two other cabins ready at short notice for the bridal party / best man and I know they loved their stay.
Our stay has been amazing and we can not thank Vicky and Adam enough. We would go as far to say they are the most accommodating and helpful hosts we have ever experienced.
As for the cabin itself, no doubt 5 star. They have thought of every minor detail to help people have a relaxing stay without having to worry about anything. The view across Keith is fantastic aswell and if you have dogs, the garden is completely sealed off. The cabins are designed in such a way you get privacy.
The cabins were spotless and in terms of facilities, they ticked every box. The website tells you what they have and everything had been done to the final detail.
As for the wedding, we got married at Glen Tanar under candle light and log fire..... and even got some snow for the photos.
We would personally like to thank Vicky and Adam for all the help. You've done an amazing job of these cabins, the quality is there to see. You really took the stress off us whilst we tried to sort out the wedding.
We will be back for sure.

Just returned from a lovely couple of days at Hillhead Hideaways and will absolutely be back.
The accommodation quarters were really spacious and had everything you need to have a comfy stay - every cooking utensil you could want and plenty pots and pans for cooking. The owners provided a wee breakfast pack which was a nice touch.
The hot tub hut was great and I liked that it had a glass roof so you can enjoy it in all weathers.
We didn’t use the BBQ hut but it was well equipped and again had the glass roof so you can enjoy it in all weathers (will definitely make use of this next time).
We booked the dog friendly lodge which had a fully enclosed garden this gave us total peace of mind that he could be out in the garden as he pleased.
I always have shampoo, conditioner and body wash with me so this one was no issue for us but the body wash and conditioner canisters in the shower were empty - the owners number was in the welcome pack so I’m sure they would have popped round with some if we needed ☺️
We can’t wait to return hopefully in the summer so we can enjoy the warmer weather and try out the BBQ this time!

We booked a week very last minute as we wasn’t sure to go abroad or not. We found it online with amazing reviews and they didn’t lie. When we arrived, the pod had amazing views and a fridge full of essentials. The pod was very clean and tidy to a great standard. The hot tub was maintained daily and was very relaxing especially after climbing Ben Nevis. We’ve recommended hillhead hideaways to all our friends and family and we can’t wait to return. Definitely worth the 8.5 hour drive from the midlands!

We have just returned from spending 3 nights in these pods. I can only say amazing. Our dogs were with us and because the garden was fully enclosed it was safe for them to wander around while we took the opportunity to try out the hot tub and look out at the amazing view. It was so quiet apart for the sounds of the country side. The welcome pack provided ensured you had everthing you needed for a cooked breakfast Little things like providing dressing gowns and slippers ,marshmallows for the barbecue just added that extra luxury. Everything inside the pod had been well thought out and finished to a very high standard. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out then I would highly recommend Hillhead Hideaways

Hillhead Hideaways is hands down the best lodge we have ever stayed in. Despite Storm Eunice, we settled in just perfect with the cosy underfloor heating, BBQ hut and the outstanding hot tub which we made use of the whole weekend hiding from the snow. Our pup loved it, secure garden for him to free roam still allowing for a perfect view over the hills. The lodge was spotless and the personal touches made it even more outstanding. The bed was so comfy and the TV in the bedroom was a great touch, we loved it! The sofa bed was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Great use of space throughout the lodge and the furnishings were top quality as well as all the utensils in the kitchen. We will most definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Hillhead Hideaways provided a much needed place for a family getaway. We stayed 3 nights at Ben Aigan as family of 4, girls aged 7 and 9. We didn't venture anywhere else during our stay apartfrom a short trip into Keith as the hot tub and bbq were so enjoyable. We purchased 2 bbq packs from the hosts during our stay, these were excellent quality and value, would thoroughly recommend.

We recently spent 3 nights at these fantastic glamping pods. The facilities could not be faulted in any way. On our arrival we could see that pods were very well appointed. The fixtures and fittings were all of a very high quality.
The location of the pod is perfect for enjoying spectacular views over the hills without interruption from the other pods, privacy from the other pods is maintaned due to clever positioning of the pods.
The location is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area during the day, then retreating to the pods at night to enjoy the BBQ house and relax and unwind in the hot tub.
I'd definitely recommend a stay at Hillhead Hidaways if you are looking to stay in the area.
