Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Can’t thank these guys enough for the hospitality we received when we were stranded due to the recent storm. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Cosy, clean, well equipped en-suite room. Continental breakfast was more than we needed. Thanks again

A super wee hotel, very quirky. I was shown to my room by the mannie behind the bar, it's the smallest room I've ever seen but it did me nicely as a single guest. The windows made a great job shutting out the traffic noise of the A96 you couldn't hear a thing) I was told the TV was brand new but I couldn't get it working and the wifi password didn't work for me (but they aren't essential as I wasn't in the room for that long). There was a lovely wifie (Evelyn) who was making the rooms and cleaning, I had a lovely chat with her both mornings. Breakfast was continental downstairs which was a simple affair, toast cereal, drinks and a few extras. I look forward to returning again.

We stayed for one night as it's on the doorstep for family who live in the town. It's clean and tidy and appears to have been redecorated during lockdown. Our room was pleasant and nicely styled. The bathroom was up a couple of stairs and set off from the bedroom which was nice but the shower was terrible with no water pressure at all. Toiletries are provided as are tea and coffee and a tv. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but the breakfast is a basic help-yourself cold affair - cereal, fruit, yoghurt with bread to make your own toast. This was set up the night before so no staff were needed in the morning. Check is was bizarre - we weren't asked our names and just shown to a room! No proof of booking required! There is a nice backyard/garden area and service was a mix of bar and table service even though table service is supposed to be obligatory in Scotland currently. Service was fine though so no real complaints there. Overall it was fine and we'd stay again due to the family there.

We went for a bar supper. Limited menu (same one for the restaurant) offered two courses for £20 but we only wanted one course and were told that was ok. Only a choice of five main courses. We both chose the roast beef. The white plate was as unattractive as the food on it. Chopped carrots and neeps were colourless and the Yorkshire pudding was the smallest I have ever been served. There were two very small roast tatties and a small dollop of insipid mashed ones. The beef was alright but the “rich” gravy was tasteless. For this ‘canteen effort’ we were charged £15 each. Overpriced and underwhelming!!

My friend and I booked two rooms a few weeks previously, having had difficulty finding space at any of the small number of other hotels in Keith. I'll be honest - some of the reviews I'd seen here were a little off-putting, but we needed somewhere in the town, if only a bed... I spend much of my life in hotels, so I know good from bad.... We were amazed. We had a couple of really lovely rooms, which I think must have been very recently refurbished (perhaps some of the older reviews here relate to a time before renovation?) and the whole place was clean and very well appointed. What impressed me most of all was the very genuine warmth of welcome, and a willingness to help. We had various troubles with one of our vehicles on the morning of departure, but our host couldn't have been more accommodating in terms of letting us take coffee outside, delaying our breakfast (several times!) My brother-in-law lives in Keith, so I'm going to have further need for accommodation. The Fife Arms Hotel is now at the top of my list!

Dirty, overpriced. Stay anywhere else in Keith. Stayed for one night in a dirty room Stinking of smoke, no tv working, bar below room, karaoke on til after midnight and no breakfast served in the morning. No evening meals served at night either contrary to advertised. £90 / night , I wouldn’t even pay £9. Absolute sh*thole.

I have just stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and was very disappointed to find out once I got here they don’t do food in the evening. The room itself was clean and warm but for a hotel not to serve food not good news.

OMG ! We booked this , Hotel ' for £ 89 per night. But when we arrived and were shown to our room i was shocked . Yes its clean but thats it . Our double bed was the smallest i have seen and the room was small as well . We paid and left as there was nothing nice about the whole establishment . Im surprised they can call themselves a hotel ...with tiny rooms like that . And its extremely overpriced for what it is ....

Very nice clean hotel, friendly staff, who always go out their way to help. Sandwich platters for late arrivals are brilliant and not your normal hotel triangles. Breakfast offers a great selection. Creamed mushrooms on toast are a great way to start the day 🙂
