This was the best ice cream I ever eat. All the ice cream is home made and very tasteful. I recommend this place to everyone. The personnel was also very friendly. Around 2500 kwacha you have 2 scoops of ice cream.

Came here just to visit Froggies restaurant whilst staying somewhere else. We had heard the food was great here and we were not disappointed. We came for lunch and had two delicious pasta dishes - arrabiatta and funghi, which whilst simple were delightful and so tasty, and unlike food we had anywhere else. They also have a massive selection of... More

The Hotel was descent. Good value for money. Nice views of the lake and mountains. The restaurant and food was ok - could have been better. Jacuzzi, Pool and Table Tennis on property. The staff was very nice and helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. There were registered tour guides who offered water activities packages.... More

Stayed two nights and made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Bungalow style rooms and very nice. Great view looking over the lake, nice and relaxing. Went on a boat ride from the hotel (boat came to the beech by the hotel) and it was great feeding the fish and then the Fish Eagles followed by a sunset.... More

I arrived after dark. To access the Lodge, you drive through a small run down village. when you drive through the front gate, it is a wonderful surprise to discover a small paradise! The bungalows are beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and there is a mosquito net that you can scroll up or down making it easy to get... More

We really enjoyed both our meals at Froggies. Really helpful staff and delicious food. The steak was divine! I also recommend the chambo cubes starter and the pineapple tart was great too. We were there in October and it was very hot - could have done with a fan. But fabulous food - we'll be back!

A very comfortable place to stay with large rooms and bathrooms. An excellent shower and plenty of hot water. The gardens are beautiful and a number of us sat round the swimming pool watching a variety of birds come into the trees. The food was good and the staff overwilling to please. They would always say yes even if later... More

Cape Mac Lodge is situated well, it is in the centre of this strip of the lake in Chembe village. It is very comfortable and the rooms are clean and are of adequate size with air conditioning, fridge, safe and tea / coffee making facilities. The staff come into the rooms in late afternoon to spray the mosquitos, if you... More

NIce place at Lake Malawi in Cape Maclear. The rooms are spacious enough with mosquito nets and bathrooms. Unfortunately our net did not keep the mosquitos out, even though we tried to fix the holes and covered the openings. The food was good but not the French cuisine we know from France. The pool is a fantastic opportunity if you... More

This beachfront lodge has beautiful grounds and stunning (sunset) views of the Lake. There is an excellent French restaurant, and pleasant rooms. AC was available (though not needed), as was TV, and bathrooms were spacious, and I enjoyed sitting on my little porch. The staff was lovely and eager to please. I'm told that the massages are terrific. The main... More
