le buisson Amboise- Montlouis loire valley france

A lovely house , so quiet , well located with the chateaux around.
wonderful hospitality and advice .
I recommand the restaurant" la Tourangelle " close by the loire river.

I would say this is probably the best place we have stayed during our trip in the loire valley.

Hard to describe the experience of staying here. Our hosts were chaarming, the room very comfortable and meticulously clean. It's in a great location out of Tours and has views of the Loire river. Pleanty of great restaurants close by. We had a very memorable time. Our only regret is that we had to leave.

For us, this was a refreshing change from the frenetic pace of Paris where we had arrived from. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was as good as a French breakfast can be. The B&B is located in a quiet spot along the Loire River. Transportation isn't always easy to arrange, so we recommend reserving a bicycle or car before you get here. There is a great bike route to Amboise. Also, it costs about 20 Euros to take a taxi here from the nearest train station in Saint-Pierre-Des-Corps.

With only 3 reviews at the time of booking, we took a leap of faith and it turned out we were so lucky to find this place and at the last minute. They have a few double rooms in the main house but they have a separate apartment over the garage. It is very simply furnished but has everything you need. It is very centrally located but in a small village and right overlooking the river. Lots of room for kids to run outside. Fantastic French breakfast. Very charming hosts and eager to offer advice. Definitely would return.

Le Buisson is charming and friendly and ideally located to explore the wonders of the Loire. The rooms are simply decorated but provide everything you need. It is quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was a delight, especially the home made jams and honey. The owners speak English and are ever so friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night on our driving holiday but are so pleased we found this place.

My Wife and I spent the month of May, 2014 in France touring the country. We spent two nights at the Le Buisson so we could tour chateaus in the Loire Valley. Jean-Pierre was the host of the B&B and spoke good English and was very helpful to us. He advised us on visiting the chateaus. Each morning he walked to the village and returned with very delicious baked goods for our breakfast. He was a delight!
The home sits on what appears to be a former French estate with a beautiful view of and across the Loire River.
There is an interesting trail that extends into the village and runs parallel to the river. The home is interesting from several respects. It appears to be of very similar design, construction material and perhaps age as the Le Clos Luce at the nearby Amboise Chateau. The Le Clos Luce was the home of Leonardo Da Vinci during his elder years in France. In addition, there is a large sequoia tree on the property that is likely over 100 years old. Sequoias are native to California - not France. Who know how it got there.

Jean-Pierre and his wife were lovely hosts. Helpful with local information and ideas of places to see. The house has beautiful views over the Loire and was within walking distance of the village centre. Spacious room, good breakfast with homemade jams and delicious croissants. We were cycling for a week and J-P kindly organised bike hire for us in advance. Easy access to the Loire a velo route plus plenty of other sights nearby to see.

There are so many positive things to say about this hidden hideaway. In a lovely part of the Loire to visit the Chateaux in the area, take long walks and see the beautiful French countryside. This Inn was spacious, private, inviting, clean and like home. The breakfast was ample and delicious in a setting overlooking their beautiful grounds. The hosts were gracious and friendly. If you are looking to stay somewhere in the Loire while traveling, I highly recommend this. The town of Amboise is less than 5 minutes away and it's a must see while you are there.

The pictures harldy do justice to this rustic, authentic French home. The rooms are spacious and lovely. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights as a central location for seeing Loire Valley castles. Breakfast is fresh and served with style. Pizza is within walking distance, and The hosts will lend you glasses for wine if you please. We felt welcomed, and this stop helped make our French vacation special.
