This is a lovely little place in the center of Monreale. The food is good, and some of the plates a bit unusual - donkey meat! Service is also good, and the prices can't be beat! There are a few tables outside, in a side street, and the rest are indoors, so if you wish to dine al'fresco - make...

Sicily is simply stunning in so many ways. The countryside and the coastline are in many ways very similar to that in California. OK so Sicily is very UNTIDY(!!) but it also has all the OLD BITS - and these are quite amazing. For me (so far - we shall return to explore further) the best is the Duomo in...

Me and my friends stayed there for a night. First of all, parking issues were sorted out quickly and our car was privately parked for 10€. The hotel is situated near a beautiful cathedral, also there is a piazza and royal palace just nearby. There are a lot of shops for a particular needs- cheese, meat, wine and similar places. There...

An lattractively decorated restaurant in a convenient location just behind the Duomo; excellent traditional Sicilian food, good wine list, reasonable prices (very good value for money) and helpful warm welcome! We didn't stay at the hotel but we will be back!

Location is the best you can find. It is no more than 2 minutes walk from the Duomo(one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world). Cozy small house but rooms are not small at all. All amenities are present. Flat TV large bed, excepyional bathroom, heating is from the floor and very efficient even if you visit in the...

Clean and well appointed rooms with an artistic style. The Locanda is right next to the Duomo and a short walk from the centre of Monreale and the good restaurants. No breakfast included in our rate but it was a delight to go to a local cafe for breakfast. We caught the bus to Palermo one day from the bus...

(In Japanese: 最後に日本語で要約します) We found the hospitality and helpful assistance when in trouble. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of this hotel, where we could enjoy local cuisines, it was delicious! Just next to the Duomo of Monreale. You can see it from the balcony. Staff lady was always taking care of us and even after check-out she...

We stayed Rocanda Re Ruggero in June 2014 and were really pleased at its quality and location. Only a very short distance from the cathedral and town centre the rooms were beautifully decorated and maintained. They provided a fantastic base from which to explore the wider area and are situated above a good restaurant. The hosts were incredibly helpful and...

The hotel is situated right next to the Duomo of Monreale. It is very modern and clean, and the rooms are large and attractive. The service is excellent and attention is given to every detail, the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is served at a bar close by and the food is extraordinary. Would definitely go again

Driving from the airport to Monreale after dark in a brand new hire car was a stressful experience but moment we arrived at Locanda Re Ruggero the holiday really began. The car was deftly driven off to be parked while we were shown to a well appointed large double room with a settee, unusual ceramic lamps and a spotlessly clean...

“We had a choice of staying in the hotel, or taking an apartment room across the road. We chose a double room in the hotel. We like most previous guests were very happy this room. Its above the restaurant but no trouble with noise or cooking smells. Its on the roadside, but the traffic is ok. We hate air conditioning, preferring to sleep with an open window. Our room had two balconies and two large doble windows, so perfect. Its the room with a brown painted featured wall with bedside lights with orange shades.”

“Like another writer, we were on the side street with the karaoke bar and thought it was a big Italian wedding that went on until the wee hours - actually quite fun to hear the singers and audience all enjoying themselves! Our daughter faced the front street and had a beautiful view.”
