Beautiful view, lovely and warm, lovely environment for dinner. Lovely menu with lots of variety on offer but my choice of pulled chicken tacos was very disappointing as when it came out it was fried chicken fingers instead of the pulled chicken. It was explained to me that there was a mixup with their supplier, but perhaps they could’ve told me prior to delivering so that I could choose whether to accept it or not. I was trying to avoid fried foods. Flavours were ok. Toilets were dirty and let down the high class vibe of the dining area.
Special tokens glued onto the tables advising that we could order online. I ordered our drinks and then, when the waitress came over to take our drink orders she advised us that ordering online didn’t work. Also they didn’t have the drink that I ordered. Maybe cover up the online ordering tokens if they don’t work? I will go back again though as there were many things I’d like to try and the view makes returning a must.

We ate dinner here in a large family group. The food was tasty and came in generous portions. One small issue (which seems widespread in Australia) is the lack of non alcoholic beer choices but the local wines were very nice as was the beers for those of us partaking. Service was efficient and friendly. The views of the bridge and city were great. Good value for money and family friendly, recommended.

We really enjoyed the restaurant area and the food was really nice and creative. The menu was quite different to a lot of places I have been lately and would easily go back for the food. Unfortunately we went on Sunday and it shut at 3pm.

However, we also stayed a night upstairs. While the room was comfortable enough it was nothing special. Outside our window was a nice view of the ducting system, which can't always be helped but still impacts on the overall experience. The room was quite old and tired looking so hopefully, if they rake in a bit more cash, some renovations can be made.

It is easy for early morning airport journeys and not far from Hobart. We payed $100 for one night, in my opinion this is over-priced for what you get in return for your money. I would only stay again for one night and for no more than $70.

We attended the Beltana on a Tuesday night good crowd, the staff were exceptional friendly and welcoming and couldn't of been more helpful.Bill splitting easily accommodated. The meals were large and very tasty. The staff also came back to check on us regularly to see if we wanted more drinks, sweets and coffee. This doesn't happen much these days.

The restaurant was very busy and only one waiter on duty, but what an extraordinary waiter he was. Andrew was amazing - nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile and happy nature.

We were a group of ten and couldn’t fault the service or the meals. There was another even larger group along with a number of smaller tables, and everyone seemed to be looked after as well as we were.

5 stars.

Wouldn’t recommend. Spend your money somewhere else. Room and shower were dirty, cups hadn’t been cleaned, sheets were stained and it smelt bad. The bed only had 2 slats and sounded like it was about to break so my daughter slept on the floor. No shampoo.

Enjoyed an evening with the locals. Played 8 ball in an easy going but busy bar. Staff friendly and enjoyed a nice vegetarian meal. No complaints would definitely visit again and would recommed highly. 👌

I admit that there are worse hotels. This place wasn't dirty (apart from some mold stains on the bathroom tile), and it didn't feel unsafe. That said, there aren't worse hotels that I would actually stay at, hence the single star rating.

This place appears to be primarily a restaurant, a bar, and some gambling. The hotel part appears to be an afterthought, and it shows. If you're looking for the entrance to the hotel, don't bother - you have go through the bar to get in and to access the stairs to the rooms (no elevator). You'll also likely need to check in at the bar. The room hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the room occasionally did as well despite the door and window being closed. The bathroom light and the main light in the room both didn't work. The window blind was broken. The laundry room down the hallway was very loud, and noise from the bar comes through into the rooms. The pillows were so thin I had to put two on top of each other (and there were only two in the room, so if you're not alone, good luck).

What makes this especially ridiculous is that there's no reason to stay here. Just across the bridge in Hobart is a fabulous four-star hotel that cost me $5 more per night (the Fountainside Hotel). Why did I not stay there again on my circuit around Tassie? Because I was stupidly trying to get closer to the airport (stupidly because the Beltana hotel isn't really even closer, despite being on the east side of the bridge).

The Beltana Hotel has been renovated and they have instilled a new restaurant,
and Fab chefs. We had an all time best evening here on New Years eve.
View of the bridge lit up in all its glory, fireworks.
Staff that were as attentive as any serious restaurant in Hobart.
