This hotel is in a beautiful area and the hotel has decent facilities. They also have a feral cat who lives there and is lovely but scared of guests. They kindly let my husband use one of the garages overnight for the scooter. When we arrived no-one was at reception but our key was left in the pigeon hole so...

We came upon this by chance and at first it seemed a bit inauspicious as the garden was empty and seemed a bit deserted, turned out we were just early. As it turned out we had a lovely meal and the waiter was charming. As the sun went down the garden became rather lively with candles and more guests adding...

Hotel Lion d'Or is a traditional family hotel and the whole place is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. Our bedroom was comfortable and quiet with a view to the garden. We enjoyed the garden and the swimming pool and also the fact that we were in the centre of the village, next to the river and with several restaurants...

Stayed here in August 2008, excellent facilities in a great location. Food excellent at prices to suit various budgets. Good pool and shady garden. Only gripe at the time was lack of air conditioning but overall a wonderful experience. Just booked again for August 2013. very fast response to e-mail enquiries all sorted within 24 hours.

We stayed in a family room, aka "studio" which is in fact like an apart'hotel room with a decent triple room with a small kitchen / eating area appended to it. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and had double glazing and air conditioning, which was great as it was about 40C outside when we arrived... This...

If you want to rest for a week next to junction of Lot and Truyere rivers in a sleepy little town and save money cooking your own meals, this hotel is for you.
