For a genuine, medieval location try this hotel ! Located close to Loire Valley and the french castels, the hotel is in central Richelieu very close to the park ( try a morning walk ).The building is from year 1632, has lovely rooms, old wood beams and stair. Very helpfull staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Friday morning try the local... More

right on the market square its a good 3 star hotel in the very French style ( ie a little lacking in places). Good food sitting outside with a fine view of the square and fountain. parking is good and the town market in the morning an added bonus. The market at night is beautiful with a classy light show... This Logis situated on the large square in Richelieu was a huge surprise. Clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent food sitting outside at the edge of the square watching the illuminated buildings. Superb service too. A magic place which we look forward to visiting again. At our final destination another guest had been in the same room as us three... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Saumur, but almost everything about the experience was disappointing - both the service and the food. We were ignored for at least 20 mins before we were even given a menu, and kept wondering if we should go and remind them we were there. There were 4 of us, and we... More

The rooms were comfortable and the architecture was beautiful. The town in quiet and tiny, making the hotel the only real option, but a good one considering the size of the town itself. It's the bests you could expect for an area this small. The keys were a bit of a pain but manageable. The breakfast was very good!

Spent the night in the lovely room under the roof. Duck your head to get under the beams. All possible amenities. Totally quiet. Don't miss the square staircase from 3rd to 1st floor. wood beams date from 300+ years. The restaurant is excellent, a chef who does up really fine cuisine, breakfast buffet also very good. The personnel all friendly... More

We have just returned from a most disappointing business trip at the this hotel. Our room (superior) was nice and spacious. There the positive comments end. We had reserved the seminar room at the hotel for a business presentation. The room is situated down a side street around the corner from the hotel. Our first problem was that the overhead... More

Our room was lovely on the 2nd floor. Compact but with lovely character and overlooking beautiful square. The hotel is right in the centre of Richelieu with vibrant market (Friday) just outside. Lovely restaurants around and the very best bakery next door (next to the post office). The restaurant at the hotel is somewhat formal but friendly. We particularly enjoy... More

I have never heard about this tiny town founded by its name and its hotel is in the middle of it. I loved our room and the old atmosphere, timber interior and nice breakfast. Staff was helpful and big advantage is that room and its bathroom was very clean !

Arrived on a Thursday afternoon to this delightful village/town of Richelieu. After a warm, friendly greeting and we were taken to our room on the first floor and shown the various means of getting there via different entrances and staircases. (There's a lift access too). Clearly an aged building, with loads of quirky beams and winding staircases - quaint, but... More

“If you plan a longer than 'overnight' stay, choose a larger room higher in the building to lessen the likelihood of hearing the regular sounds of a busy market square! I'm not sure how often the market occurs in a week, nor of how often the rubbish is collected - might be worth checking if these events are likely to bother you.”
