We can’t say enough good things about Abbeyfield B&B and the owners, Kira and Tom. Lots of time and effort were put into the complete remodel of the house just as Covid hit. Bad timing for them turned into a fabulous stay for us. Kira gave on point suggestions for things such as a walkabout to nearby places of interest to visit. The breakfast was top quality with many items to choose from. We both agree that the breakfast here was the best we had during our two week holiday in Scotland The room was large with comfortable chairs to sit in to enjoy a tea or a driver dram of scotch that we received from a local distillery while reading a book. The bed was extremely comfortable with pillows just the right firmness for our liking. The bathroom is modern and the shower had great water pressure. Need we say more? Staying at Abbeyfield will enhance your time in this area.

Abbeyfield was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed, we were warmly greeted on arrival by the owners and shown to a superb bedroom, the house had recently under gone complete refurbishment and looked great. The room was of top standard and the bed gave us a great nights sleep, after which we were served a hearty breakfast ready to start the stay exploring the surrounding areas. We would definately return at some point.

Very good B&B, run by a very nice couple. Breakfast was all you could wish for and both owners are doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The B&B is in the whiskey capital, Dufftown, and within walking distance of local services.

Abbeyfield B&B is a great find and we enjoyed a friendly and comfortable stay for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. We were made welcome on arrival and enjoyed the spacious, clean and well appointed rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the location is great for exploring distilleries around Speyside.

We were really sad to only be staying one night. Abbeyfield is the kind of place you could really get comforatble for a few days.
The room was spacious with a coffee machine and seats by the window where we realxed to read and knit. If you needed more space however the living room was comfratable and homely (Kira had just lit the stove when we arrived!).
The information both from the confirmation email and in person was very helpful for example the reccomendation to book for dinner and the option to bring a takeaway back.

We had a very enjoyable three night stay at this property. The host, Kira, was very welcoming and was quick to share information and answer any questions that we had about the area.

The breakfast provided was excellent. There was plenty of continental style items, such as yoghurt and fruits, and the hot breakfast options were, tasty and substantial. There were biscuits and candies left out for those of you with a sweet tooth.

The bedroom itself was clean and comfortable. Ample hot water in the shower.

As far as location goes, I don’t think you could beat this spot. It’s a central access point to many of the distilleries, and the Speyside Cooperage. We had a rental car, and went to a number of places that were within a 30 minute drive. We also took the bus to nearby Aberlour, and it was convenient in the event that you are going to be tasting some whisky and not wanting to drive. It’s a very short, five minute stroll into the centre of Dufftown.

If you wanted to pick up any food or drink for your room, there is a co-op in town, and a few take away restaurants.

Again, Kira was very responsive to messages in the event that any questions came up either before or during your stay. Was very easy and open.

If we were back in the area, we would not hesitate to book here again.

Stayed for two days as part of a whiskey tour. Was incredibly clean and comfortable with great beds and bathrooms. The breakfast was a huge positive surprise with a lot of hot fresh options that were restaurant quality and helped start your day off right. Hosts were very kind and gracious with lots of good suggestions for things to do. Would return and recommend to friends.

A delightful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was exceptional! Kira recommended bringing our dinner take-out food into the breakfast room, which she stocked with plates and cutlery. We had a memorable stay!

Best B&B we’ve ever stayed in… The house is incredibly beautiful and the rooms so cozy that it was challenging to wake up. Kira and Tom are very kind and go the extra mile to make everything perfect. Breakfast was marvelous too… A lot of variety and freshly cooked for the guests. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer next time! Thank you!
