Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely, comfortable, clean cottage In a wonderful, peaceful location just outside Dufftown. Great views from the garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. The friendly helpful owners live in the house next door, on hand for any help or enquiries but not intrusive at all. Some great local walks and of course several distilleries to visit in the nearby area. Didn’t want to leave this tranquil place and can’t wait to return.

My family had an excellent stay at Broomhead cottage. The cottages were impeccable, the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Everything you need for a great stay was available. Extra special touches like milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, shampoo and conditioner made it 10/10 for me and my family. The surrounding grounds are beautiful, lovely to wake up to such amazing views and to watch the calf’s jump around the fields. Ruth went above and beyond for my family, her kindness was greatly appreciated. We shall be back soon. Thank you for having us xx

We stayed here for a weekend as we were attending a wedding near by and we couldn't have been more looked after! The room was beautiful with everything we could of asked for and Angela and Ian were so welcoming. They even gave us a lift to the wedding! The breakfast was also fantastic. Would highly recommend!

The view of the valley from our room was beautiful. We slept comfortably, with every comfort considered. We had considered staying in town, but were glad we did not finding Broomhead to be very peaceful and quiet at night with the lights of town twinkling in the distance. The full Scottish breakfast was available and prepared to order.

This venue, together with its hosts completely exceeded my highest expectations. Bedrooms where generous in size, and with 5* level sheets and comfort. However what does make one want to stay -and come back- is the attention their owners put in the satisfaction and happiness of their guests. I would strongly recommend staying here over any other alternative, and I'm sure that with the dedication and love the owners put in this house, it will only get better and better.

Lovely cosy and warmly welcoming B&B situated on a hillside overviewing Dufftown. Although slightly off the beaten track(walk to Distilleries about 30 min) this amazing B&B offers lovely rooms with en-suite bathrooms, which immediately make you feel at home.

Both dedicated hosts, Angela and Ian, provided outstanding breakfast (from a variety of fruits, cereals, juices to the good old full Scottish breakfast) and fulfilled every request and/or gave the spot on tips for the real Dufftown experience.

Whilst in Dufftown for work I stayed in one of the cottages for 3 nights.

The cottages have new owners who recently took over this year and the hospitality they showed was great.

The cottage comprised of a double and a single room, lounge area, kitchen and shower room. All areas kept very clean and newly decorated. Unfortunately I didn't have access to a vehicle whilst staying, but if I had there was plenty of parking available, all safe and secure.

I enjoyed a nice long walk on one of the days down the paths, past the distilleries into Dufftown.

The Sky TV and wi-fi proved to be invaluable on a rainy day (as I was 'stuck' with no vehicle).

All in all a great place to stay in a lovely area. If I were to visit the area again I would definitely stay here.

We stayed here for one night, the view from or bedroom was over the valley. We was made welcome from the moment we got there. The room was also one of the best rooms we have stayed in there was two comfortable chairs and a coffee table I would give this place 10 out of 10

We rented rooms for 3 couples in July. All the rooms were clean and neat. The B&B smells clean and fresh. Not at all musty and old. A nice change from our previous lodgings. The location fit the bill. We were just coming from a large family wedding. Some of my children and their mates followed along. We went into Dufftown and had a lovely evening. Then went back up to the House for a late evening cocktail. Where, on the back porch, we saw cows, a badger, and an assortment of evening delights. From the breakfast, to the stocked mini-fridge, to the cleanliness, or the nice showers and fluffy towels: the owners show a great love of the business and property. Would love to visit again some other time.

Hi Firstly, when are you planning to come and for how long? We have 3 rooms sleeping 2 in each and 2 cottages sleeping 3 in each 12 in total. We are approx 2 miles from Dufftown Village centre. We have plenty of parking available for several vehicles and we have The Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Aberlour, McCallen, Glenfaclas to mention a few close to Broomhead. We are only a B&B so no extra meals available but could be if prior arrangement can be made. We have lots of castles, rivers, parks and beaches all local to Broomhead so there id always something to do during your stay. Hope this helps Angela
