SCAM!! Booked direct through their website, had to cancel 8 months before the holiday which was ample time within their terms and conditions for a refund. NEVER received it, 2 months later still no refund Will be taking this to small claims court as this is obviously just stealing

Hotel's Favourite
We’ve just returned from another wonderfully relaxing week at Ikos Oceania. Our second visit to this resort and our 8th Ikos trip in the last 4 years. Until we discovered Ikos we said we’d always try different destinations, and whilst we are continuing to explore elsewhere, Ikos just does all inclusive in such an impressive way that we keep coming back for more! This week at Ikos Oceania has been no exception. Of course a full week of (almost) uninterrupted sunshine helps, but it’s the sheer attentiveness, professionalism and friendliness of the staff that make this resort so special. The fact so many of them return year after year makes staying here feel like you’re coming back to a second home - a home that keeps sprinkling your stay with little treats throughout the week, be that locally sourced beers, or bottles of champagne waiting in your room, to make soaking in the sunset on your balcony that extra bit more special. Was the week flawless? Not quite, but there was nothing we experienced that should stop this amazing place getting the 10/10 rating it fully deserves. Our arrival experience with Alex was slick and efficient, whilst extra welcoming, and he continued to pop up around the resort to say a cheery Kalispera throughout the week. The a la carte restaurants continue to serve high quality, tasty meals, and we decided to eat at these restaurants all week rather than the buffet (not that there’s anything wrong with the buffet, it has a huge selection of delicious food, we just preferred eating outside as the weather was so good). A new welcome addition for this year’s Oceania visit was the Beach Club. A tastefully decorated a la carte restaurant across the road from the beach offering a delicious selection of meat and seafood dishes (along with vegetarian and vegan options). The king prawns and pork skewer dishes are superb, as was the steak, and always cooked beautifully. There’s also (not so) secret triple cooked potatoes that are to die for, which everyone seems to have with their meals, but isn’t actually on the menu. The team at this particular restaurant have really got things running perfectly, so a special mention to Angela, Despina, Eri and Fiona for always looking after us like royalty. Ouzo was a favourite for lunch as the BBQ is excellent and has a variety of meat, fish and vegetables being replenished throughout service. It was our first port of call on arrival and was visited several times during our stay. Occasionally service seemed a little forgetful, needing a second or third ask for menu items we’d requested, but little mistakes like this happen, and with visiting towards the end of the season perhaps some of team were tired from working so relentlessly hard. That said, Stefania was always so cheery and friendly towards us, and really made us feel extra special every time we visited. Anaya has always been a favourite of ours when staying at Ikos resorts, and this year we felt things had got even better. Service continues to be professional and welcoming, and this time we felt the portions were bigger in size and came out quicker, so kudos to the team for this improvement. The beef dish in particular was outstanding this year - beautifully tender and absolutely delicious. The lighting on the terrace at night is quite dark so phone torch use was necessary to see the menu properly. Fresco was just as fabulous as last time. The views from the outside terrace are really impressive, the terrace itself is pretty with lots of citronella candles twinkling on the tables, which came in useful both for lighting and to keep the mosquitoes away (Ikos do all they can to mitigate them, but this is Greece, and it was still warm the week we were there). The dishes we ordered were delicious, piping hot and generous in size (particularly the pasta dishes). If you’re not sure about what something is on the menu, just ask! We didn’t know what something was and got a very comprehensive response, telling the back story of how the dish came about. The team even went to the effort of fetching a bottle of wine we’d had from Ouzo across for us - it’s this kind of ‘going above and beyond’ that helps Ikos being so highly regarded. The least impressive restaurant this year was Provence. Perhaps it’s the change in staff, or the departure of the previous manager, but we just felt something was missing this year. Service was slower and less attentive than elsewhere in the resort, and it was the only restaurant where the dishes weren’t always piping hot. I’m sure there’s a combination of reasons for this, and something which will be addressed in the future. It certainly wasn’t bad, and the setting overlooking the adults only infinity pool makes for a delightful dining setting, or maybe we had just such amazing experiences there last time we’d set our bar too high. As for the accommodation, our ‘Junior Seaview Suite’ was perfect. Extremely well equipped with plenty of spare European sockets (and even a UK 3 pin socket and USB charging point), tastefully decorated and immaculately maintained. It literally looked like it had been freshly painted as there wasn’t a mark on any of the walls, impressive for what is almost the end of the season. The in room smart TV was pretty big in size and an upgrade on the previous one in the rooms in 2021 - not that we ever turned it on! The included mini bar was well stocked, with ours having a variety of additional local craft beers added throughout the week - if you have any particular preferences drinks wise, just ask - the team will do their very best to provide what you’re after). We did have a few days where it didn’t get restocked with soft drinks, but there was always plenty to choose from regardless, and we generally had drinks in the bars and restaurants instead - you’ll never struggle to find a drink during your stay. The room service was faultless, always fresh towels and toiletries, the room spotlessly clean every day. The staff ‘behind the scenes’ do a fantastic job; from the cleaners, to the garden maintenance teams and resort security - and all so friendly with it too. We tried to spend our first couple of mornings around the Adults Only Infinity pool, but were a little disappointed that it seems to have attracted a ‘sun bed reserving’ behaviour. Not something we’ve ever experienced at an Ikos resort before. Around 8.30am towels start being placed on beds, along with a few personal items , then many of those guests go for breakfast before returning around 11am, or sometimes not at all. Turning up around 9.30/10 usually meant all the beds were taken but usually very few guests to be seen. A little disappointing considering the ‘rules’ placed on all the tables. We did use the pool a few times during our stay as it’s such a lovely setting, but gave up using that part of the resort as just couldn’t face the battle. I suspect this isn’t the case throughout the year, but out of school holiday times attract a greater number of adult only couples, no doubt adding to the demand of what is quite a small area. The times we were up there, service could be erratic, which perhaps is related to the observations we made of Provence too. Instead, we spent more of our time down on the beach. All the staff down there are working relentlessly, but kudos to Beach Buddy ‘Superstar’ Vaza who always greeted us (and everybody else for that matter) so enthusiastically with a “woohoo” and a high five before bounding around with towels and adjusting people’s sunbeds. Likewise, Despina, Blažka and George were always walking by asking if we needed anything, be that drinks or snacks - the three of them are massive credits to Ikos in their own way and really made this trip memorable. If you need a snack in between all the other amazing meals at Oceania, order it on the beach. The meal gets made at the Beach Club kitchen, and the Ikos Burger from there was AMAZING. In the evenings after dinner we tended to sit in the main lobby ‘Indigo’ bar. Efstratia (Tia) and Joanna were seemingly always around taking our drinks orders, smiling every time. The bartenders Stelios and Vasilis were always happy to make recommendations, Stelios’ ‘Bubblegum Cocktail’ is going to be talked about for a long time to come - delicious! If you fancy a day off the resort, be sure to book one of the Ikos Teslas, through the Ikos website (well) in advance of your visit. An impressive improvement on the Ikos Minis from last time, they provide a great way to explore some of the surrounding area without the need to visit a petrol station before you return. We went to Faros Beach (having been to ‘the usual’ day out recommendations previously), about 50 mins from Oceanina, not far from Thessaloniki. Ask the hotel for a packed lunch (they’re a bit basic, but mean you’ve got something to nibble on whilst on the beach). If you’re not familiar with Teslas, be sure to spend a few minutes setting up the car (mirrors, seats, pairing to your phone, etc - most of which is within the huge touchscreen in the centre of the car). Finally, an Ikos Oceania review couldn’t go without a very special thank you to the fabulous Mr. Vangelis. He’s an absolute Ikos Oceania legend and makes us feel like we’re family. He always made the time for a chat, and the little treats he arranged throughout the week didn’t go unnoticed. If he’s not the Ikos CEO in the future, it’ll be a travesty. Thanks Vangelis for everything you did to make our trip special.

Fantastic choice and quality in the restaurants of which our favourite was the Asian. All bars served great drinks and no request is too much trouble as all the staff without exception are so helpful and serve with a smile always. Great choice of pools and our favourite was the quieter adults pool. Our only small criticism was on arrival being told to return after lunch to check in but all in all a superb hotel

Our third visit to an Ikos resort, and wow, this place did not disappoint. It's set on a beautiful incline with far reaching views of the sea and in beautiful grounds. The resort itself is the first Ikos resort, but it still looks as good as the others! - The rooms were really lovely, with simply stunning views. Ours looked like it was starting to wear around the edges, but we were aware we visited on the last week of the season and think they were scheduled to be decorated during the off-season anyway. It was beautifully clean however and well equipped. - The food was totally Ikos and we loved every meal. Our favourite was the beach bar (those triple cooked potatoes are worth a visit alone!) - The beach was lovely and secluded and calm and perfect for the children. - The kids club was so so fantastic and accommodating and the team were so lovely to the children. We were nervous putting our three year old in for the first time, but they let him stay with his older brother and fully accommodated his needs - so much so he was happy to go back a second time! <3 What makes this place stand out however, is the staff and the service. I do not understand how Ikos do it, but keep doing it, because it's working. The team are all so wonderful, friendly, helpful, kind to the children and genuinely make the holiday. If I could name everyone here I would! A specila massive shout out to Dimitris, however. He was so so lovely and outstanding. He rapidly made us feel like at home and was beyond lovely to our children. We lucked out on the weather as we seemed to manage to dodge any end of season rain and hope to be back again in future. We've taken so many fond memories from this trip, and are totally enchanted by the Ikos brand... so much so we've already booked another visit again next year!

The most amazing hotel where nothing was a problem!!! My partner and I have just returned from a one week stay at the Ikos Oceania where the customer service was just fantastic!!! We stayed in a Deluxe room and from the moment we arrived finding a complimentary beach bag in the room to leaving where we had a special bottle of Olive oil to take home, everything you ever wanted on a holiday was achieved in this fabulous hotel. Vangelis the rooms manager to Dimitris the deluxe manager to all the staff throughout the hotel there are just too many to mention of how accomodating they were to our every need!!! The ala carte restaurants were superb the choice of wine to accompany the meal was an unbelievable selection to chose from. The buffet restaurant was amazing anything you wanted it was there and so fresh!!! The meal on the beach was the most amazing experience of a meal we have ever had with the table put right next to the waves and every meat and fish you could think of perfectly cooked with service to match, even the deluxe manager Dimitris came to the beach while we were eating to ask is everything ok, superb customer service!!!. The courtesy Tesla car provided for the day allowed us to visit their sister hotel Olivia where lucy gave us a full extended tour of the hotel and made us feel so welcome during our afternoon visit where we had a delicious lunch and used all the facilities complimentary for the day. Whenever we were being lazy we rang reception and a golf buggy arrived immediately and took us to wherever we wanted to go throughout the hotel grounds. We enjoyed the sports which were on offer in the hotel and even had a complimentary massage in the spa which was a lovely treat!!!. The room mini bar we noticed did not have any minatures of bacardi amongst its contents , so therefore room service was requested and when we came back from the pool later that day there was a litre bottle of bacardi left in the room not minatures just amazing!!! During our stay we found a lovely french merlot wine which we consumed plenty of in the restaurants lol, so we decided why not ring room service on the off chance could we have a bottle for the room it was immediately brought first class!!! Even our last memory of our holiday was a touch of class, the rooms manager Vangelis met us as our private hire car arrived to take us to the airport and he opened the door to let my partner get into the car to wish us a fond farewell!!! So our final message to the hotel is Yamos!!! Cheers in english to all the staff at Ikos Oceania please give yourself a huge round of applause from us both for just a wonderful wonderful holiday experience!!! David and Fiona.

My husband and I stayed in May 2022. From the moment we arrived it was first class with a check-in service that was comfortable and efficient. Our junior suite garden view was extremely beautiful with everything we needed in terms of space, storage and comfort. Only thing missing was snacks like crisps and nuts which would have been perfect. Although I’m sure we could’ve ordered these on room service. We didn’t use the garden as the grass was damp and it was too shady but it was nice nevertheless. Food in the restaurants was divine with Anaya being our favourite for dinner and Provence for breakfast. We were able to try all restaurants during our stay and could not fault any. Drinks were superb and the service was impeccable, especially on the beach where we were never forgotten. The prawn roll was delish! Evening entertainment is good and there is an adults only bar which was a hidden treasure if you’re travelling without children. The nightclub was also a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed a number of nights in there dancing, drinking and having a great time with new friends. We celebrated our wedding anniversary which the hotel acknowledged with a cake and bottle of fizz which was a thoughtful gesture. We utilised the complimentary Mini hire for the day and visited a lovely town called Afytos as recommended by the hotel manager who was always around making sure everything was running smoothly. We enjoyed all that the hotel had to offer such as bike hire (we tried electric for the first time which was fun), wine tasting, tennis, the spa and the White Party was fantastic with a DJ and saxophonist. The WhatsApp concierge was super responsive and helpful, such a great idea. We could not fault this place, simply fabulous from the food and drink to the views to the staff to the service to the amenities and activities, everything was first class. We can’t wait to return. The Ikos Way is the only way if you want a luxurious stay.

We visited Oceania in 2019 and it was fantastic. We returned in September 2023, and this time, my dietary requirements had changed as I became vegan since the previous visit. I was concerned about having good food options, as many places I visit have very few options for me. Before travelling, I checked the menus and there were a few options. After we arrived, our first meal was daytime at Provence, and it was nice. In the evening, we went to Flavors, and I found the vegan options were very limited. I had a beetroot salad, and it was nice, but still, it was just a basic salad. I checked the other suitable foods, and there were fries, potatoes, boiled rice, and curry. I was a little concerned about my eating during the rest of my stay, as we were only booked into the restaurants for four of the nights, and I would be relying on Flavors for the remainder – plus, I didn’t want to be eating the same few dishes for every meal. I thought it might be worthwhile speaking to someone at reception, and I couldn’t have been more right. I spoke with Alex, the Services Manager, and he is such a pleasant and helpful person. He instantly called one of the Executive Chefs, Panagiotis, and asked him to meet with me. Panagiotis arrived swiftly, and noted down ingredients I liked, and said he would come up with some dishes for me. He checked which restaurants we were booked into during our stay and said he would take care of my food. I was completely astounded at the service I was receiving. That evening, we visited Fresco. Panagiotis met us there, along with another Executive Chef, Sotiris. We were seated, and the service from the staff was so lovely and friendly. They began bringing out our food, and I don’t even know where to begin in describing how great it was. The plates were like a work of art, and I almost didn’t want to disturb them by eating them. They were beyond delicious. There were so many options. I couldn’t believe the effort that the chefs had gone to, to accommodate my dietary requirements. It was a little overwhelming. Over the remainder of our stay, we ate at Provence, Anaya, Ouzo, and of course, Flavors. At every visit, we were provided with many dishes, and each of them were beautiful in both looks and taste. I must also mention the Chef at Anaya, as she created incredible food for us too. The views from this hotel are stunning. Watching the sun set as we headed over for our evening meal was beautiful, and wondering around the grounds at night was particularly nice. Our lovely room was a superior side sea view. It was very well cleaned and the cleaning staff were all really pleasant. There is a safe, a Nespresso coffee machine, an iron and board, and a kettle, all included. There are also Anne Semonin products in the bathroom, and a well-stocked mini bar. As we were repeat guests, we received private transfers and that was great to have a taxi waiting for us as we landed, and one to take us back at the end of our stay. Poolside, Demi was fantastic, and couldn’t be more attentive. She memorised the drinks we liked and was always ready for a friendly chat. She’s delightful. The pools are lovely and there are always beds available. There are, of course, some patrons that put towels on beds and disappear for breakfast, and I would like to see staff remove them, so that people that are actually using the pool can choose where they want to settle. It didn’t affect us but it’s still one of those we all see at most resorts, and we did see other people wanting to bathe in that area and they had no option but to move to another pool. Thankfully, though, there are six pools to choose from. Each Saturday night, there is a White Party on the beach, and that was great fun, with everyone dancing and enjoying the warm evening, and plentiful drinks. I would love to see an additional adult bar for the partying to continue, or see the club reopened, as it was closed during our visit. A member of staff told us it was closed as it wasn’t used much, and that’s a shame. The only option was the adult bar and that plays relaxing music, so once the White Party ended, there was nowhere for the party-goers to continue their night. The spa treatments are expensive. I did indulge in a treatment in 2019. I opted for the 4-Hands Polynesian Massage and that cost €215. It was very nice, but I didn’t feel it was worth the amount I paid, and I chose not to partake in 2023. If you want a couple’s treatment, the cost can really rack up, anywhere from €170 to €210 per person. As this is an optional, and luxurious extra, it’s not a big deal. The small cons are heavily outweighed by the pros. The level of accommodating during our stay was exemplary. The staff are so friendly and the chefs, Panagiotis and Sotiris, seemed excited to be creating the vegan dishes for me, which is extremely complimentary, and very unusual. I couldn’t have enjoyed my stay more. I have added photographs of just some of the incredible dishes we enjoyed, but I took A LOT of photographs.
