I recommend The City Inn in El Bireh (immediately adjacent to Ramallah). This is a very nice modern hotel, with pleasant, helpful staff, and good accommodations. It is reasonably priced, in a neighborhood with a number of restaurants, and within walking distance of the center of Ramallah.

In fact, there are a number of hotels in Ramallah. See http://www.visit-palestine.com/Hotels.htm for listings (but no reviews).

I stayed here in 2007 (though you can only select up to 2012 on tripadvisor) so I can't speak to any recent changes. The hotel was very clean, simple but elegant, and even as a woman alone for a few days I felt very safe. The hotel has 24 hour armed security which was a little off putting at first, but they grow to be your friends. The bed was comfortable, shower always hot, and there were lots of English language channels on TV (and English speaking staff). There was a free computer with internet in the lobby since I didn't have a laptop. It's a few minutes walk to downtown Ramallah and there are small grocery stores across the street for anything you need.
The restaurant was a highlight of the hotel; it's cheap, tasty, and was happy to make special vegetarian dishes for me. If I find myself back in Ramallah, I'd stay here again.

The City Inn is a small and excellent hotel at walking distance from the city center. The simplicity and nice design make it stylish, good quality materials are used. It has got something. Helpfull and efficient staff, good value for money. Wireless internet access is good and free of charge.
Getting home late at night is a bit complicated with doors locked, but hey, this is Palestine after all! I strongly recommend, at this point in time one of the best places to stay.

Stayed at this hotel during some turbulent times in Ramallah... funnily enough felt safe. The staff are very courteous and their restaurant is quite good as well. The rooms are ok... nothing to write home about but quite good

We stayed two nights at this spacious and convenient hotel. the staff was very helpful and hospitable. the room was clean and well located. parking was available in the garage under the hotel. the hotel is easy to find as it is on the main road from Jerusalem to Ramallah. special mention for the bartender in the hall, he makes absolutely delicious fruit cocktails and ice tea !

This is called the "City Inn Palace" believe it or not. I suggest you don't. This is no palace. In fact, it isn't much of a hotel. The room smelled of insecticide. It was almost impossible to get the TV to work. There was one light, with the switch near the front door.

And then the bed. A single bed, about the width of a casket, and hard as a rock.

No heat. A space heater provided heat. This was January. It gets cold in Ramallah.

Breakfast: corn flakes and hummus.

If you want to be cold and uncomfortable, this hotel is for you.

Room Tip: Try another hotel. If no rooms are available, find a doorway, as it will be more comfortable.

Standard hotel not far from the center of Ramallah.
Rooms are quite big, quite silent those on the back.
Services to improve: one day on three didn't clean at all the room
Restaurant available with standard food, breakfast quite poor

I went two times to this hotel, only because of its practical location near my work. I would not recommand it at all. Carpets and walls are dirty, it is noisy, there is no heating in winter, fridges freezes your drinks, management always looses reservations and besides the smile at the reception desk, there is not much services. Do not be hungry at 8 pm, you will have to go out to get food. Next time, I will go somewhere else, even if it is on the other side of town.
