Booked a cabin by emailing thru face book and looking at pictures . Not knowing that those pictures are probably 10 years or older . When me and husband arrived at 6 am after a long bumpy road . All we could think about is napping . Well it did not turn out that way . We could not find...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in March 2015. We loved our time at the Cuzan Guesthouse. We opted for the boat cabana-- basically a boat hull with simple wood flooring, 2 beds with mosquito nets, and bathroom w/ shower-- right on the beach for a very reasonable rate. The cabanas are rustic (no electricity, very basic...

If it had not been for Chary, the manager and her husband, we would have left after 1 night of our 7 night stay in Punta Allen. The website for Cuzan is very outdated---the resturant and bar are abandoned and the cabanas need significant attention - primitive is an accurate description. It is really unfortunate because the location is wonderful,...

We were planning a short drive in Sian Ka'an to see some nature, but we ended up driving all the way to Punta Allen. When we got there, we asked a man walking on a street where he recommends us to go for lunch. He guided us to Cuzan. There were nobody else but us. We ordered lobster and they...

It’s true – Punta Allen is not easy to get to. Although it’s only about 40 miles from Tulum, the collectivo (250 pesos) took three very bouncy hours. If you’re inclined to travel sickness then stock up on remedies before you start this journey – the road is pretty rough. After a recommendation from a friend in Tulum we headed...

Cabanas are in nice place on the beach, pretty and clean, but everything is getting old... Lily, the manager, is very frendly and food which we got there was so delicious. It was really nice day away from people

I lived & worked at Cuzan Guest House running this lodge with Lily 2003~2006. This destination is just for adventurous travelers and world top Anglers coz his famous Ascension Bay(bonefish meca) where all these fisherman's are trying to get the gran slam. For not Anglers:You can take a snorkeling tour boat where you can float and enjoy the second largest...

Summary: The lodge is extremely difficult to get to, requires 4WD, takes 2.5 - 3 hours. The facilities are basic bordering on primitive. The town has one restaurant, no other amenities and no facilities, including gasoline, that I saw. Management has absolutely no concept of guest services. Not worth the time/trouble. STAY ELSEWHERE. I emailed the lodge on a Wednesday...

We arranged through Lily, the manager of Cuzan, to be picked up at Cancun airport around midnight. No one was there. So we arranged our own taxi. They told us about 3 hours to Punta Allen, it actually was closer to 5 hours, and cost $200. The road from Cancun to Tulum is a 4-lane highway and fast, but from...

We arrived at Cuzan with no reservations after deciding to do an "off the beaten path" stay at Punta Allen. We were welcomed by Lilly and she quickly helped us settle into the rustic cabanas that we rented for $15 per night. Cuzan had several different budget options for accommodations but we were looking for a cheap and comfortable cabana...

“The cabanas right on the beach obviously have much better views but are also slightly cooler due to the sea breeze. Believe me - in those sweltering Mexican nights that can make a massive difference.”
