This is a really lovely character house with a homely feel to it, lovely warm welcome, lovely room and comfortable beds, very clean. Excellent breakfast with a variety of fresh fruit. We stayed last October 2012 for a long weekend break to visit our friends in Chard, but were unable to get booked into another B&B we had stayed in...

The proprietors' Joan & Robin were both very welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean and well furnished. We slept well in the comfortable beds and the plentiful full English breakfast set us up for the rest of the day. We had our evening meal at the Howley Tavern and were not disappointed (they only use local produce). One big plus...

We stayed here about a year ago as we spent a week driving around Southwest England. We found Linden's because we happened to be driving through Chard as we decided we were ready to find a place for the night, and I'm really sorry that we weren't able to stay longer. They were so nice to us and offered some...

This is an old house renovated as a family home, then converted to a B&B. It was easy to find , although a tight access into the car parking for someone not used to narrow English laneways! Our room was on the second floor - the second flight of stairs was steep awkward with our bags. But the room was...

We stayed at Lindens House for 2 nights and would have loved to have been staying for longer. Joan is a lovely host and gives you a really warm welcome and looks after everyone with utmost consideration. The rooms are spacious and although we booked a room without an en-suite, it really wan't a problem as the bathroom was nearby,...

The location, rooms, facilities, grounds, hospitality and personal touches were fantastic. This reasonably priced accommodation was perfect in every way and, as it is impossible to improve on perfection I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting Chard, Lyme Regis or the surround areas. Thanks for making our stay memorable for all of the right reasons

Lindens in Upper Chard Is a professionally run B&B. The most outstanding feature for us was the breakfast. Delicious, plentiful and varied. Joan, her husband and staff are friendly, approachable and happy to help. The rooms are spotless. My only suggestion would be better pillows.
