We stayed one night in a glass igloo and 4 nights in a cabin. The igloo is exactly as expected, it was small but warm and comfortable. We didn't see the aurora but the stars were well appreciated and definitely an experience worth having The cabin surpassed our expectations and we wished we could have stayed longer. The private sauna...

We have spent two nights in the log cabins with the attached igloo (Kelo). It has been an incredible experience. As others have mentioned you are paying for the bucket list experience. We paid AUD $5500 for 2 nights. Breakfast and dinner is included in that price, but that is all. If you would like to use the fireplace in...

We stayed here over Christmas and it was amazing. We arrived on Christmas Eve and left late on Boxing Day. We stayed in a large Igloo in the West Village which had a shower and bathroom attached. The beds had adjustable backs so you could lie propped up and watch the sky. Unfortunately we missed out on seeing the Aurora,...

We booked to stay at what we believed was the most perfect location to complete the last week of our honeymoon. We were certainly not disappointed by the stunningly beautiful Lappish setting and would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful country but we were upset at every turn by the reception and hospitality that we received from the Kakslauttanen...

Stayed at the lodge accommodation which has a glass igloo attached. Bathroom is small but has a sauna attached. Was lucky to catch the Aurora Borealis whilst there. Watched it outside the lodge and in the comfort of my igloo. Husky sled activity was a letdown. Slopes and sharp corners should be eliminated for the benefit of dogs and customers....

Over priced Rubbish, we had a glass igloo for the first night which was average, we were informed they couldn't accomodate us both nights in an igloo so we would be moved to a log cabin which we were fine with. What they failed to mention was check out of the igloo was 10am and the log cabin wouldn't be...

We wanted winter and we got it! We had a great 4 day stay at Kakslauttanen. Sure it's expensive in every way (you even have to pay extra for the first lot of wood so that someone can light the fire for you) but it is full of once in a lifetime experiences. We only saw a small glimpse of...

Kakslauttanen is a once in a lifetime stay.. the reviews are wide ranging but we were pleasantly suprised at the resort's facilities, tours and food. Pros: -location is breathtaking in the beautiful lapland wilderness. -large igloo in the west village was very comfortable. We were glad we opted for the large igloo as it provided additional space for us as...

If you enjoy natural experiences, astronomy, & clean crisp air, Kakslauttanen is a must do. The log cabin environment on rolling acres is beautiful, peaceful and connects one to nature. We stayed in the glass igloos and saw the "Northern lights" show 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. The night skies were clear, the air crisp and the...
