The Ritz Hotel at Aizawl is centrally located and on the top of that it is on a high vantage perch. The Executive Double Bedded suite on the top floor has spectacular view. Room is good and view is great. If you want to enjoy the city lights sparkling on the hills or the first sun-rays on the building clad...

As usual the AI flight was delayed and we reached Lengpui Airport in late afternoon. a long 1 hour 40 minutes journey from the airport to Aizawn city crossing three large landslide zones on the way and through the narrow serpentine traffic congested roads of city we reached the pre-booked...

Plus point is the location which is quite central. Friendly and helpful girls at the reception. Nothing great. Average hotel. Don't expect too much. Restaurant has a nice view of Aizawl. Taxis are very expensive in Aizawl. A taxi driver quoted me Rs.3000/- to go to Tamdil lake ! Visits to even nearby places like Reiek can set you back...

This one is quite an old establishment and apparently nothing has changed in terms of interiors or comfort for quite some time. Traffic sound continues till late in the night and starts early in the morning..Not a hotel that I would want...

So as expected rooms are little shabby and dark. It is advisable to take road side rooms for good ventilation and light. The service is too...

Aizawl has very few options of good hotels and tourist spots. All the hotels are equally good or bad. Ritz is centrally located in the heart of the town. You have choice of Indian, chinese, continental food.

This hotel is right in the middle of things in Aizawl in a great spot. the rooms are basic and rather old fashioned though painted in bright colours. Some may have views but mine looked out onto a wall. There was a rather pungent smell in my bathroom that wasn't very pleasant but other than that the place was pretty...
