It was late and dark, I was tired and looking for a place to stay. This was right there, and turned into better than expected. Big comfortable rooms, with big screen tv, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. There was a decent sized pool to do laps, and two hot tub Jacuzzis. If I didn't have a long drive the next...

Nice hotel for a small town ... A little dated but very clean and comfortable beds. The man at the front desk was a pleasure and made checking in very easy. The hotel has both inside and outside room entrances. This hotel is pet friendly so others traveling with pets know ;)

The person at the front desk was very helpful and efficient in getting us signed into a main floor room around the backside of the motel. The room was quite large and comfortable and very quiet. The room a/c ran all night and did not disturb us at all. We had a restful night. Would stop here again without hesitation!

Stayed for one night on the second floor. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and it was quiet. We had lots of channels on tv to choose from, which was nice since it was raining while we were there.

I had an upper room (no elevator) facing the beehive (sawmill) but with windows closed it was quiet. Room was spacious, clean and adequate. Had fridge, microwave, coffee pot, tv and wifi. No restaurant on site - omelette at the Companion Motel next door was satisfactory. I lucked out as others in my group indicated they were in ruddy rooms...

I was travelling cross-Ontario and needed a one-night stopover in Hearst. Called three other places in town and got voice-mail only (2 never called me back, ever). The Queens motel not only answered their phone but had a room available at a reasonable price (reflecting the scarcity of motels in the area). The room was ok, basically clean, even if...

Spent one night in this hotel. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was pretty basic, but the rooms were clean and in good shape. We chose it because it was pet friendly. Apparently my review is not long enough so hopefully this will pad it out

When we arrived in Hearst, all hotels were fully booked with the exception of two rooms available at the Queens Motel. The room that we stayed in was rundown (old carpet, dirty tiled floor in bathroom) with a tub drain that was so clogged with hair it would not drain during or after our shower without digging in the drain...

I have stayed here twice while driving from Alberta to central Ontario. Hearst is a good distance from Kenora I find for a days drive. The front desk staff was helpful and had a nice bubbly pedsonality for 9 o'clock at night . As other reviewers say the rooms are a nice size clean and fresh. If you're travelling don't...

“The rooms at the back face the train yard, which operates sporadically. In winter, the passenger train operates a power unit that idles all night but this is a low level constant noise that should not disturb your sleep. The rooms at the front face the highway and could be noisier, depending on traffic.”
