Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely campsite right on there banks of the Mosel river. It is mainly occupied by caravans and motor-homes, but there are pitches for tents, which was our dwelling method for the 5 days we stayed. The pitches are fairly close for caravans or motor homes, but tent pitches are of a good size, and the ground was great quality for the pegs during our stay. The site was pretty full when we arrived, and the only pitches available were down the far end of the site. This was better, as there were trees providing shade, unlike alot of the rest of the site, so during the heatwave that had hit while we were there, it was very welcome. However, it was a bit of a walk from the toilets and shower block, which is next to the reception. There is another shower/toilet block which is also where the washing up facilities are, but this was double the distance of the facilities at reception. I would suggest to arrive on a Tuesday or Thursday to get a more central spot. However, it appears that they are currently doing work at the reception site so it may be that they are extending the facilities. There is ample electric points and water taps. The site boasts a beautiful view of the river. There are 3 toilets, 2 showers and 5 open wash basins at the reception site which are very clean and look nice (I didn't check out the other facilities, though there are 2 sinks for washing up). The staff are friendly and speak English. It is approx. a 15 minute walk into town across the river for boat tours and some nice places to see. It is also about a 10 minute drive down the road to a retail park with an Aldi and Lidl. All in all it is a nice campsite in a good location and I recommend it if you visit the region

Despite having booked in advance, they attempted to squeeze us into a narrow strip that would not accommodate our small tent and car.

Shower and toilet facilities clean but a distance to walk. Entry by card only.

The advertised wine and beer garden shuts at 6.30pm.

We got the overall impression that they prefer long stay caravans and motor homes. Tents unwelcome. Pity really, as the view was fantastic.

Unfortunately only 2 stars possible( Location directly on Moselle and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities ) We had 14 days of extreme construction noise, as well as permanent tractor driving, daily lawn mowing hedge cutting etc by groundskeeper. Although the city was responsible for the construction noise, there was no accommodation (small discount) by the operator. Was several times at reception asking for consultation, to which I was only replied. They can leave. Furthermore, we had a place that was only partially usable because it was "abused" as a shortcut of the other campers to the sanitary facilities. See pictures here too no remedy was provided. The path within the campsite in front of the waterfront pitches was used as a racetrack for cyclists. Very dangerous for small children and dogs. The road behind the pitches was public even here was not kept to the speed ( had to be crossed if you wanted to go to the toilet ) Showers were clean but with minimal water jet - depending on many showers were used simultaneously either hot or cold. Although I mentioned this several times at the reception the operator did not feel it necessary to contact us. Had we not built up everything on Sundays upon arrival we would have left immediately.
