Great location with a great beach...Had a mountain view which was nice. Our friends had the pool area with lots of noise. Would stay there again. Breakfast was a plus! Loved the coffee and fresh fruits. Easy to grab a cab or city bus . Front desk very helpful... They spoke some English.

No, it is not what you pay for. Excellent exterior places, even with rain very nice view of the sea but the interior is old school and badly maintained. The breakfast gas variety but do not expect organic or high quality cereals, the usual sugary ones. No local products, just massive production food. Just to sleep in the off season... More

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this hotel. It is in a beautiful setting, right on beach with dramatic hills behind. Our room was very good with excellent views. Lovely food served buffet style, service attentive and discreet. There was a bus into town every quarter of an hour weekdays, half hour on Sunday. There is a large pool... More

Beware this hotel passes off their standard room as a superior room, which is completely unfair as it was not due to lack of availability. We booked the superior room only to be allocated their standard room as depicted on this site (with a very thin uncomfortable squeaky wicker headboard) minibar consisted of water only! Desperately in need of updating... More

This is our third visit this year since we love the location situated in a corner of the Messinian Bay with a backdrop of the Taygetos mountain range. Adjacent to the hotel and excellently managed by them is the Ipanema Beach Bar making a good Mojito cocktail. The beach is stony but sea is clear and blue and flat calm... More

You can ask anything and they will bear it. Good big room, clean each day, but not comfortable bed. It has a good renovation. Good breakfast buffet but the lunch buffet and the evening buffet was mediocre.

We stayed three nights and had a lovely visit. The hotel and grounds were very well kept. The pool was so clean and lifeguard / staff was so helpful and kind. The complimentary breakfast buffet was nice and convenient. The only complaint I have was the twin beds pushed together ... This was uncomfortable. Other then that lovely pool, beach... More

Terrible value for money. We found this hotel to be very expensive for what was on offer. This is supposed to be a family hotel with kids activities. My 4-year old was very disappointed when he visited the two playrooms that had very few and definitely worn out toys. The hotel has potential and it looks beautiful on photos but... More

It's a nice hotel as a Grecotel should be. Its location right on the beach is great! The rooms are big and comfortable and the view is astonishing! Unfortunately the food was not as good as in other Grecotel hotels and it's obvious that the hotel should be renovated.. Anyway we had a great time and it's one of the... More

Facilities are fine at the Filoxenia: we had a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, with a bunk bed for the kids. Good room, comfortable, powerful cooler / aircon. The pool was big and well kept, with lots of pool-side chairs. The beach is a pebble beach which poses its challenges, but we solved those with 5 euro aquashoes... More
