Would love to have spent longer in this hotel. Beautiful hotel. Had a fab room. The lady on reception and coordinating breakfasts was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts are amazing.
This Gothic Victorian family run hotel has charm and character. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are spacious and comfortable - The bathroom was small but adequate and lacked a strong shelf to out toiletries on but apart from that no complaints.
Lovely old hall, excellent hot breakfast, some rooms huge, others interesting! Interior must be a hundred years old. Nice sitting in lounge pretending to be a Lord! Free wifi and especially free parking are great.
"We stayed in room one, on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the hotel."
"They do have four poster bedrooms on the top floor. Qick note...there are no lifts."
"If you have difficulty climbing stairs make sure the hotel knows prior to arrival. We struggled with them."
"Have cereal before cooked breakfast as it was not a big one!"
"Book early and pay more!"
