This was our first trip to Tuscany. During the two weeks we were there, we traveled around quite a bit and saw some really amazingly beautiful places. One of the highlights for us was our stay at the La Suvera. The staff was gracious and...More
This hotel is physically magnificient - the royal family currently occupy sections of the third floor and the pope used to spend the summers here. There is a consecrated church in the grounds that is simply divine. The service is fabulous. The rooms vary greatly,...More

LaSuerva is in a very nice remote area. No town to walk to.I would say definitely you need a car or a driver without ,you are married to their restaurant, which is nice but limited. Depending on the weather you may not be able to use the pool or the lovely grounds. Perhaps if you are there 1 or 2 nights. It may work.We were booked for 5 nights left after 3,See Italy booked us there and even the proprietors question the length of the stay with a very costly driver.Have a good trip
