We were only here one night but this is a great location and the staff were very helpful. We were on a walking holiday and I arrived with the sole of my walking boot hanging off. The lady on reception immediately reached under her desk and produced a tube of super glue which she translated the instructions for me and...

The hotel was ok. Also the room and the breakfast, nothing special. The staff was great and very helpful. The location is also good and there is alot of bars and restaurants, although its not in the old city.

A little wary when we arrived for a single nights stay after reading some of the reviews; however, we were very happy with our stay. Reception were so kind and helpful, chasing up our bags from a transfer from another location and next day chasing up our taxi. Room was spacious and very clean and overlooked the historic fortress town...

We turned up here with no booking and the girl at checkin was the most helpful checkin person I have had anywhere in the world. We could only stay for one night so she recommended some places nearby and seemed genuinely concerned for us. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. And breakfast was included in our...

Firstly I must stress that the staff were excellent and very helpful particularly our waitress for our evening meal (Ellen) and the receptionist Now the room and in particular the bathroom which was tiny and very awkwardly fitted out and the walls seemed paper thin and noise from next doors bathroom was all too obvious

Friendly staff and a great location this hotel makes for a clean and secure place to sleep. If you're after a bedroom with all the mod cons and style to boot this isn't the place for you, but if you'd like to be one of the locals and explore what the area has to offer then this makes for a...

This was a one night stop on a walking holiday. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was poor and inadequate for setting us up for a day of walking. Despite advising I needed gluten free options, none were available and no hot food on offer, not even toast.

Stayed here with a friend on a waking trip on Tuscany. Nice hotel, rooms basic but a good size and clean/comfortable. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel but not open until 7.30 so not good if you want an early meal after a hearty day of walking.

We (me and my wife) stayed there for 2 nights. Was very, very good. La Vecchia Cartiera is a great hotel in a quiet village. The room where we stayed is large, equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi, tv satellite, minibar. All you need ! We chose this place because is a perfect point for a trip in Tuscany (is situated...
