Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tremendous customer experience and the hospitality was absolutely exceptional!! The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent too. Yes! anybody can pick fault but they are nitpicking because this hotel is close to the motorway network so there are no excuses for making the effort to stay there. My only complaint was being given Room 13 on the night of the £206m lottery, because I didn't win a bean, my fault. The receptionist on my arrival did say that she would change it, which I thought was very kind and thoughtful. Great hotel and well done for making my stay enjoyable. 👏

The hotel itself is a little tired and in need of modernisation. The room was nice but again a little sprucing up required - there were black spots round the bath seal and a small hole in the bathroom door (room 11) - but the bed was lovely and comfortable and it was very warm. The first night there was a ‘do’ and it was quite noisy as guests went to bed but that’s down to inconsiderate folk not the hotel. The breakfasts were amazing and well worth the tenner each we paid in advance. The staff were sometimes a bit difficult to find but were lovely and friendly. Overall an average stay but we would go again

I had my 50th birthday party here and what a fantastic night! The manager and staff could not have done more for me if they had tried! Me and my guests were looked after so well and the night could not have gone any better. We stayed in the bridal suite, which was a lovely room and the bed was very comfy. I would not hesitate to have another function or stay here again, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay here on Saturday night for my sisters 50th party. All the staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough for us. The room was fabulous for the price. Can’t comment on the breakfast because we didn’t make it! Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel which was warm and inviting. Staff on reception were lovely and bar open for refreshments. The room was lovely and warm which was nice as hotel rooms can be cold at times. The bed was so comfy and room was spotless. Breakfast was good. Nothing to not like!

Amazing service, staff are very welcoming. Rooms were a nice size. Food was incredible, great value for money. We didn’t realise we were on the top floor when we booked, me and my friend both have disabilities that make it hard to go up and down stairs, I also rely on an assistance dog. They moved us to one of the dog friendly rooms which was on the ground floor in a little cottage. It was amazing, felt like home. Everything was clean and tidy, towels were soft, pillows were fluffy and the room was overall amazing. Will definitely book again in the new year!

Visiting family, had an outside room, which was dog friendly, was excellent,as we don’t go anywhere without our baby bailey, 11 year old King Charles spaniel, although it says on. The website, (dogs no) I rang them, & they do have them, we live in Hornsea, & every where is dog friendly, nice room, & bathroom, didn’t have food so cannot comment on that, but will definitely stay again, when visiting family
