I stayed in this hotel 18 years ago and it was dingy and unloved. Now it has a new lease of life with young owners who are making every effort to make the travellers stay enjoyable and comfortable. They are really succeeding. What a change The staff were all very friendly . I especially loved the delightful collection of '...

Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada overlooking breath taking views of the Las Alpujarras region including the capital Orgiva which is only a 10 min walk away. We occupied the junior suite which had a great sized outside terrace, the bedroom and lounge areas being tastefully decorated in a Moorish style. The young proprietors (friendly & helpful) are...

One of the best quality/price hotel available in Orgiva, we had a great stay, you must stay at the restaurant to taste the meat and typical dishes from the region. The personal was very kind and helped us find interesting spots nearby.

The Puerta Nazari was a lovely place to stay. We arrived early and they let us check in, no problem and no questions asked! There is a little lift as well so you do not have to struggle up stairs if your suitcase. The lady on reception was very helpful and talked us through a map of the surrounding area...

Located at the foot of the road to the 'pueblo blanco' Andalusian villages of Alpujarra, with parking at front and just 5 minutes walk into Orgiva. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Excellent restaurant food quality and choice, including local specialities. Attentive, efficient bar service and good, varied tapas.

This is a little gem. Such good value, friendly staff and plenty of nice food choices. Great for walking tours in the sierra and only an hour's drive from Granada and Nerja. 90 minutes from Malaga. Ten of us guys stayed five nights. It is testament to the hotel that we never left their bar/restaurant/patio on any of those nights...

We found this hotel the perfect getaway for three nights over the New Year. We found it ideal for exploring the Alpujarras. There is a huge bar attatched to the side of the hotel, which we used all the time. Mornings for breakfast and evenings for toddies before bed. They also serve evening meals which were plentiful. It is a...

Simple straightforward hotel on the edge of the Sierra Nevada. Good points - air con in the room was wonderful in the sweltering heat - a lift to lug my heavy suitcase upstairs - interesting Moorish decoration on the walls - parking outside - good value - wi fi available less good points - difficult to find, I had to...

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend deal. The building looks well-taken care of; recently whitewashed, flower pots and all. The receptionist was very helpful, provided us with maps and some idea of what's going on in town. The rooms too, have an interesting painted wall design and every thing was spotlessly clean and the duvet cover and towels...

There is very little choice of hotels in the traditional town of Orgiva so we were happy to get a double room for only 50 euros including breakfast with no prior booking. This was probably a good hotel in it's day but the bathroom definitely needed updating and there was only one channel on the TV. However the bed was...
