An amazing location, an exceptional team, a superb menu and a diverse range of tipples. What more could one possible want when having time away in the Inner Hebrides. As some one who works in hospitality I do doff my proverbial cap to this wonderful country house hotel.

We returned to this hotel twice this year, the second time to celebrate my husband's birthday. Laurence turned it in to a memorable celebration by dimming the lights and entering the dining room with a cake and candle with his sporran playing Happy Birthday. Everyone joined in the singing and it was a very happy occasion. This continues to be a...

As others have noted this hotel is expensive but in many ways you are paying for the location. It is a little remote but this is Mull and surely thats what you go there for. Our room was large and comfortable. The lounges were also comfortable and cosy. The grounds are large enough to walk in and offer wonderful views to...

Thank you to Laurence, Rob and Katie for an absolutely unforgettable stay in a breathtaking location. We were a rather complicated group of 9 with a variety of food allergies, 3 small children, and some moody travelers, so they had their work cut out for them. We only stayed 3 nights and we all agreed that we could have stayed...

Nothing was too much trouble for the Hotel on our recent stays here. This is the most expensive place I have stayed in UK but I would say represents excellent value for money given the remote location and incredibly high standards they maintain. A great place for a special occasion (we celebrated a very low key wedding). Many thanks to...

The three of us were muddy and dishevelled after a very wet Sunday morning of exploration on the Isle of Mull, and desperate for a hot drink. We passed nowhere that was open and then spotted the sign for this hotel. We fully expected such an up-market establishment to turn us away when we only needed coffee at Sunday lunch-time,...

Lovely country Inn on 56 private acres with gardens, streams, water falls and meadows filled with sheep and cows. The house is furnished with beautiful antiques, private sitting rooms and a private dining room. The restaurant serves delicious breakfasts and dinners cooked by a private professional chef. The rooms are charmingly appointed with English prints and comfortable beds. Lawrence and...

We were in the motel rooms a little bit away from the main house . However the room and bathroom were very adequate and clean. The staff of the hotel were exceptionally helpful and charming in responding to requests. The food was excellent and well cooked and as far as our party could assess from local producers. The views from...

Very impressed last year and delighted this year. The service is impeccable and so personal. You are made to feel as though nothing is too much trouble. This remains a delightful hotel, relaxing and peaceful. So very different to the norm.
