Well, desert might be a right but it ain't in the middle of it. A few km from the N1, about 25min away from Tan Tan. Travelling with a group recently, I knew that we were to overnight at TanTan but had no idea where, even less so when we drove through the town and veered onto a track at a sign reading Ksar Tafnidilt. After about four kilometres on a hill in the distance first you see the old French kasbah and rounding another bend...

Arrived at night with no moon shining, the magic of the place was working. Very pleasant owners. Magali knows everything around, treks, dunes, etc. The dinner was plenty, so was the breakfast. Far from the power lines electricity gets off at 12 midnight and renders the environment even more magical. From the terasse we could see the sun rise behind...
