Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stumbled across this ‘undoubted gem’ whilst looking to book a short-stay in Norwich. Tucked-away on the outskirts of the city. Supreme service, reasonable rooms and a brilliant breakfast ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks for looking after us… we’ll be back in the future 👍

We visited for a birthday celebration. Stower Grange is a real gem, lovely ambience and surroundings. The building is beautiful. We had a private room for dinner which felt really special. A varied menu of which the food was delicious. The staff are also excellent. So pleased we chose this venue for our evening out.

We had our Wedding here on 16th September 2023, and I have to say the whole experience was just fantastic. From the first meeting to the day after the wedding everything was first class, all staff were so helpful and made everything run seamlessly. We can't recommend them highly enough. The rooms were lovely, very large and great to get ready for the wedding in, extremely clean and every need was catered for. Had a great breakfast on the morning of the wedding. The wedding its self was absolutely amazing, and I can’t describe the meal we had after the wedding it was everything we hoped for and so much more, the choice of menu was second to none. We really can’t recommend the hotel highly enough. Our wedding was exactly as we wanted, Richard, and all his staff were so helpful, if you are looking for a fantastic venue with equally wonderful staff then this is the place to book.

We looked for a venue that could accommodate a party of 11, with the key selector being how would and could the Restaurant accommodate a severely disabled member of our party suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. Fortunately we chose Stower Grange. The private Dining Room and facilities were just as promised on the website and the owners and staff alike made sure that table heights and overall access for the disabled member of our party was no problem at all. These simple measures meant that everyone in our party was instantly at ease. The menu was varied and the food excellent. As for value for money, top marks again. All in all it was a wonderful occasion and I think it fair to say that all eleven of us give Stower Grange top marks. Special mention to Richard, Jane, Linzi, Tom & Sally of Stower Grange who all helped to make the day a total success.

These maybe the best hotel staff I have come across. Friendly and helpful. The hotel needs a good dusting, too many cobwebs around for comfort. Food was very good, the ham eggs and chips was a delight I really wasn’t expecting, exceeding expectations. Excellent breakfast both days. Room was very good, ignoring the cobwebs, good shower, though the soap dispenser was hopeless, each depression of the nozzle gave you a pinheads worth, and that sometimes missed your hand!

What a fantastic find… beautiful hotel, excellent food and friendly staff. Locals come to eat here and it is no wonder, the food is delicious. They catered for my dietary requirements too. The location has been perfect for exploring the Norfolk area. Would highly recommend.

It is so nice to stay in a traditional family run hotel. There was nothing we did not like about it and if you are looking for somewhere to stay with a dog this has to be one of the best. The room we were given was spacious, well furnished and comfortable with a great bath. Food was really good. 4 breakfasts and 1 dinner. Our dog was made very welcome with a freshly cooked sausage brought from the kitchen for his breakfast each morning. Staff were friendly and attentive. It is in a good location for getting to Norwich and exploring Norfolk. we walked into Norwich and back along the Marriott way which was around 6 miles each way but flat and easy for bikes and prams etc. I cannot think of anything we did not like about it. I would and have recommended it to others.

We enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday lunch with friends - the service was, as always, good - as was the food - and the ambience of the place makes you feel welcome and comfortable. We will be returning before long
