We wanted somewhere comfortable to stay overnight while visiting our daughter at uni. The Cringleford guest house fitted the bill perfectly. We had a lovely warm welcome from Rob who brought a much needed tray of tea up to our lovely warm room. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated with everything we needed - hairdryer, full length mirror and sturdy wooden hangers in the wardrobe. We had a fabulous sleep - the room was very quiet and the bed superb. The shower was large and powerful and the continental breakfast was delicious - just the job. We'll be back!

From my 1st phone call with Rob, till leaving this lovely guest house, nothing was to much trouble.

We arrived to a warm welcome, a lovely appointed room (4) a very quiet fridge in our room, stocked with our breakfast, orange juice, milk, yogurts croissants which were replenished each day, there was a microwave, cutlery, crockery, and plenty of cereals jams and marmalade to be found on a little table, with 2 chairs.
The bed was very comfortable it was a super king, and a lovely large walk in shower. Our room overlooked the garden, and was very nice and quiet.

We stayed for 6 nights, and found plenty to do near by, including boat trips on the Broads, and a train ride from Wroxham to Aylsham.

We ate 5 nights at The Red Lion, which is just a 4 mins drive away, right next door to Waitrose, should you want any extras for your breakfast, or a newspaper.

If you want to stay near Norwich then this is the place for you, we highly recommend this clean friendly guest house

We had a really comfortable stay here.our room was clean with a lovely large bed. We appreciated the peace and quiet at night and slept soundly.
The owners had kitted the room out for breakfast during these Covid times and had added a table and chairs, microwave, crockery and cutlery and a fridge filled with breakfast goodies. We didn’t miss out.
We have visited many bed and breakfast guest houses during the last few years when visiting family. This was the best.

Excellent place to stay with safe on site parking. Absolutely spotless and very welcoming hosts. Good selection of quality breakfast items, replenished daily. Would recommend The Red Lion (20 mins walk) taxi back was £7.50. Would definitely stay here again

Stayed for three days while visiting family. I received a warm welcome from owner Kate and was shown to an immaculate and beautifully presented room overlooking the garden. Information was provided of local amenities which is very useful when you’re in an unknown area. The whole atmosphere of the accommodation was of a first class establishment that deserves every accolade going. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you to Rob and Kate

Hi How things have changed since your last visit. I wanted to thank you for your very kind review. Also to let you know that, in view of the pandemic, all of our rooms are now self catering. In each room we now supply fridge, microwave, table, chairs, cutlery, crockery, continental breakfast items, juice and fresh milk. We hope you are well and we look forward to seeing you here again. Regards Rob and Kate

Lovely hosts and very good rooms. Changes have made the rooms partly self catering with hosta supplying breakfast ingredients. Very close to norwich hospital and A11. Town center close by. Cant really find fault with this establishment our 3rd time.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was nice and peaceful but convenient for UEA and Norwich. Friendly and helpful hosts. We liked having the self catering facilities in the room rather than having to go to a dining room for breakfast. We would stay there again.

This was a lovely, clean guest house in a very lovely and quiet spot. We loved the fact that we had a fridge and microwave in our room and could eat breakfast in our room at a time that suited us. Rob and Kate (the owners) are so friendly and we would definitely recommend. Thank you so much for a lovely, relaxing and peaceful week. (and we hope you're enjoying the book recommendations Rob!)

Lovely stay with welcoming hosts Rob and Kate. The room was luxurious with comfy superking size bed. Ample supplies of croissants, juice, cereals etc every day for breakfast and the use of fridge, microwave and crockery/cutlery as needed. Everything was clean and care for.

Rob and Kate welcomed us to their amazing B and B and made us feel relaxed straightaway. The rooms are spotless. Everything is stylish and to a high standard. We felt safe from a Covid point of view and the breakfast in our room was perfect. Having a microwave and fridge in our room was a brilliant bonus too. We would thoroughly recommend this B and B. It is beautiful and so peaceful. We all had a brilliant night's sleep. Thank you!

Do you offer cooked breakfast or continental breakfast ?
Answer from Rob J
Norwich, UK3 contributions
Hi We offer Continental Breakfast. This includes a good range of cereals, fruits, fruit compote, yogurts, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, home made brown and white bread, croissants, juices, tea, and fresh coffee. We seem to get a great response, so please don't let it put you off :)
Answer from Rob J

Hi Thanks for your enquiry. We are a 20 minute walk to UEA. - Effectively, if you look at photos of UEA, we are on the other side of the lake. - So to get either way you have to walk through the small wood and over the UEA grounds. - It's a nice walk, lots of dog walkers joggers etc, although you wouldn't want to walk it in the dark! We get lots and lots of UEA parents here, dropping off, picking up and visiting 2 or 3 times a year, and we get lots of positive feedback. - In fact I have just let in a Canadian student who stayed with us when she started UEA in September last year and now wants somewhere to work quietly to prepare for her exams! We do have space around the date that you mentioned and the rate for a 3 person room is £125 per night. If you wanted 2 rooms, one would be £100 and the single would be £65 per night. If you would like to let me know if you would like to book asap, I will happily get the room(s) reserved for you. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards Rob
