What a great place to stay, we had saw this place a few years ago online and we lucky enough to find it again. We had never been to Oahu and was looking for something that did NOT involve downtown. This place was perfect for us, it was nice and quite and out to itself. We were lucky enough to...

We stayed here for just 2 nights to sample what the north shore had to offer. Let me start by saying this is a great location to get awsy from the crowds just a few kilometers away. Almost privare beach and the orange cottage we stayed in, well you couldnr get any closer to the beach if you tried. But...

Stayed here with our four other families in the big white and orange houses and had an incredible time! Fishing, diving and surfing area just outside your front door with all the kitchen amenities to prepare your catch. There's even a couple of gas grills to cook your steaks and sausage. Caretakers on property were always available to answer questions...

We stayed in the Orange Cottage & honestly could not have been any more on the beach or closer to the waves. Although this cottage is very small, it's got everything you really need. One of our favorite things was that the bed was right next to the window. We literally had the sounds & sights of the waves right...

We couldn't have had a better vacation. My husband and I stayed at the Orange House, directly on the beach, for a reunion trip after being apart for a month or so - he arrived from Auckland and I arrived from San Diego for a vacation together in November 2013, just before Thanksgiving. We snorkeled, hiked, surfed, swam, shopped, cooked,...

This is our third visit to Oahu and by far the best. Perfect location, view, and place to rejuvenate. You are on the opposite side of the busy city of Honolulu. Very reasonable price for an oceanfront house. We stayed in the Orange beach house and it worked well for my wife and I. If you want more room check...

We came to Oahu to celebrate my birthday for a week. We had originally planned on camping but decided that a house would be more daily cost effective. We found the orange house on a website and called to leave a message. Deedee picked up and said the orange had been booked but would be able to accommodate us in...

Renovations have spruced up Owne's Retreat from our last stay to our pleasant surprise. Yes, it's not the Ritz, but neither are other beach houses on the North Shore which cost a lot more. There is no air conditioning, maids, towels, or room service. It's a North Shore beach house at a decent price. Let's get real as to why...

Owen's Retreat is not the Ritz. It never pretends to be. Its accommodations are neat, clean and serviceable. The houses are equipped with the basics for bed, bath and cooking. But its what's outside that is the real prize. This northwest shoreline compound is just steps from a beautiful beach where turtles and seals live. Most days you are alone...

If you are looking for a sterile pristine hotel environment for your next holiday and not being annoyed by turtles and whales viewed from your room, don't go to Owen's Retreat. However if you are looking for a beautiful beachside location, with the rolling waves practically at your doorstep and the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep every...
