I can't say enough good things about Chalet Hibou and it's hosts, Kim and Graham. They have done an amazing job from top to bottom. No detail has been overlooked. It is a testament to the fact that you can have a beautiful stay in an amazing location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful service. One service they provide is a chauffeur service to Saint Martin de Belleville in the morning whenever you are ready to hit the slopes. Also to add to this there was never any trouble when we asked to be pick up after a hard day on the slopes.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special, they did everything they could to make all six of us feel welcome. Even though it’s was only for 1 week, both Kim and Graham made us all feel like we were all part of the family. The rooms are comfortable and incredibly well designed. Every room has its own ensuite and most of the rooms have amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The food everyday was outstanding whether it was the breakfast, afternoon tea or the cheese after the 3 course evening meal even the bananas! As I said, I cannot say enough and could go on forever. But the bottom line - I recommend this chalet without reservation...to anyone...go as much as you possibly can. Also one final thanks to Kim and Graham for an amazing time from Ryan.

We had a very relaxing journey on Eurostar direct from St Pancras to Moutiers where we were picked up by Graeme. Arrived in the chalet just after 7pm to a very warm welcome from Kim. What a beautiful chalet, Graeme & Kim are exceptional hosts nothing was too much trouble. My husband is a Coeliac & therefore requires a Gluten free diet which was very well catered for by Kim. He had homemade cakes every day, better than he gets at home! Great food, didn't bother with lunch a couple of days after substantial breakfasts & also wanted to make the most of the afternoon tea & cakes. Pre-dinner drinks, 3 course meal with excellent free flowing wine & cheese & port to finish if you had room. Excellent chalet & hosts. Hope to return in the future.

Chalet Hibou is quiet and peaceful, spotlessly clean, beautifully stylish and very comfortable, warm and cosy. It is also very well organised with much thoughtful attention to detail.
We were an adult family group of skiers and non-skiers staying for a week over Christmas and we all enjoyed a fabulous break. Our hardworking, experienced and cheerful hosts, Kim and Graeme, could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable and their tireless hosting and taxi service in and out of St Martin was much appreciated. The food was plentiful, beautifully cooked and presented, and the copious wines delicious. We enjoyed generous aperitifs, digestifs and cheese platters in the stunningly elegant living area with its fabulous views, sparkling Christmas tree, roaring log burner and music player and TV.
The skiers enjoyed roaming widely between resorts and non-skiers were bold enough, with Graeme and Kim’s help, to venture high up on the ski lifts above and between resorts, and to walk in and around pretty St Martin. Christmas Eve in the village was memorable with torchlight skiers and free vin chaud and hot chocolate. Our very generous traditional Christmas meal at the chalet was delicious and so relaxing. We were able to spend the rest of the day playing a hilarious and lengthy game of Monopoly!
Thank you so much Graeme and Kim for such a wonderful and memorable Christmas holiday and for all your kindness and hard work. We hope to see you again!

Not the best chalet food we've had, or the best chalet we've stayed in, but the hosts were good and looked after us well. Chairlift out of the village was pretty old and slow. Might come back if the price was good.

Both Graeme and Kim are utterly committed to offering guests the perfect holiday. Chalet Hibou and its recent completion is the product of their dedication and design flare providing a luxurious comfortable and cosy base a short distance from St Martin de Belleville resort. Nothing is too much trouble and the cuisine is comparable to a 5 star hotel and cater to accommodate everyones personal needs. Thank you both for a truly wonderful holiday and I wish you every success with Chalet Hibou.

Before I start saying how incredible the chalet is, let me start with a bit of background. We met the hosts Graham & Kim 5 years ago and enjoyed ourselves so much we came back again and again, mainly because they are the most fantastic hosts ever.
So when we heard they had meticulously converted & restored an old 'voute' (barn) we had to go. If you take over 24 years of combined hosting experience & then design & build a chalet with the perfect stay in mind you get Chalet Hibou.
The place is stunning, the attention to detail is evident in each beautiful decorated room. Everything has been thought of to make your stay perfect, large rooms and ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers, a bespoke staircase built round the old stone walls opening up to the huge lounge with vaulted ceilings comfy sofas and a warming fire looking out across the mountains.
Think "boutique hotel meets the slopes" & add in 3 course hearty yet refined meals. Kim is a very talented chef with sous chef Graham at her side. Freshly made canape's with champagne to start sitting round a roaring fire with views up the slopes. Afternoon tea with homemade cakes served every day, local and imported cheese board to finish dinner. Then to top it off, carefully selected wines to accompany every meal.
Throw in a hot tub and infrared sauna to ease the aching muscles. Graham put glasses of champagne out so we could sit in the tub admiring the view. (See photo)
It sounds too good to be true, but trust me is absolutely fantastic.
The fact is probably about 90% of their customers are repeat customers. Once you've been, you will be too.

We stayed with Kim and Graeme twice this year, January and again in April. Our January trip was a larger group and was just perfect in every way; weather, conditions and of course the chalet....beautifully clean, well equipped with everything you need and the most patient, customer focused hosts you will ever meet. The food is wonderful and Kim is so accommodating for fussy eaters, dietary requirements and also remembers likes and dislikes adapting things to suit (I'm not keen on sausages, Graeme remembered and made me extra bacon instead).
In April, my friend and son were in the chalet - I arranged with Kim to come and surprise them. Kim and Graeme helped me with the surprise and were very accommodating! I can't stress enough how hard Kim and Graeme work but always with a smile and the patience of saints with their guests.
Future guests....you will not be disappointed booking with Kim and Graeme. I'm excited to give their new Chalet Hibou a try next Winter!

Overall it was good but be aware of the following:
- Bedrooms are small and noisy (maybe not much soundproofing in the walls). We didn't sleep that well as a result. - Chalet build quality is not great,

Another amazing holiday with Kim and Graeme, this time in their new abode, Chalet Hibou which is stunning! The entire place is tastefully and beautifully newly decorated. All of the rooms have lovely ensuites. The lounge area is gorgeous and gives amazing views over the local mountain range, which can also be appreciated from the hot tub!
The place itself is amazing but what really makes it special is Kim and Graeme’s attention to outstanding service. The food is unbelievable! Both my partner and I have had to loosen the belt clip by a notch following the constant flow of homemade cakes, cooked breakfasts, 3 amazing courses for dinner followed by the cheese ! Kim really is an excellent cook who can cater for all palates (my other half is a veggie and she was in food heaven). The service is brilliant too, don’t be put off by having to get the mini bus to the slopes, it takes a couple of minutes and Graeme is always around to pick you up when need be. He shows you around the ski shops and lift pass place on day one just to make sure you feel comfortable on your first day.
The skiing as always was great, the 3 Valleys is amazing and I got to explore St Martin which I’ve never done before but has some lovely runs (try the liberty if you like off piste!).
A brilliant holiday ... thanks Kim and Graeme for another awesome trip.

Loved every second of our stay at Chalet Hibou. The Chalet itself is beautiful, charming and impeccably kept. The service was second to none with Graeme on call to drop us to and from the slopes and Kim ensuring we dined like kings for the week, somehow catering to all dietary requests. The hot-tub, with a lovely view of the snowy mountains, was also a great treat after a day on the slopes. Would go back to Chalet Hibou without hesitation.
