Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a budget hotel... so expectations are low. Plus points. - Plenty of hot water and good heating. - Building A has a 1 minute walk to the Bruyeres1 gondola lift. - Close to ESF ski school and various ski rental outlets. - Ski in ski out, although the run home is a gnarly blue finish.. rutted and bumpy. - Magic carpet slope for kids and beginners right outside. - Reception staff efficient and friendly, reliable bread deliveries. Minus points. - Mattresses and pillows are very basic and not too clean. Comfort level would be 2/5 - Kitchens and equipment are also very basic but functional. Generally speaking an enjoyable stay as long as you are aware of what you are this is budget accommodation, the skiing is excellent and the local bars and restaurants friendly.

It is a budget hotel so I found the room in keeping with this so not great but ok so no real problems with the room. My main problems was it was advertised by Crystal as being ski in / ski out. This is important to me as with small kids carrying ski kit it becomes a major faff. So I asked for and was told I had booked a ski in / ski out accommodation. What is not mentioned is Les Valmont is split between two completely separate complexes, Building A is ski in ski out and has a convenient ski locker near the entrance. Building B is up a lift then out of the building up a couple of flights of stairs then walk up a road with a decent slope then another flight of stairs. Not so bad if you can use the ski lockers and dump the kit but no the ski lockers are only for building A people there wasn't any for Building B. Plus you need really good eyes for the TV, Do they really still make TV's that size? No one (including the kids) could read text on the screen form the sofa. We didn't view TV much so not a problem for us.. So be aware when booking and try to get building A .

Six of us in a six person room via CrystalSki;- Rooms were nice. Enough room, not enough storage space.- We did rejig the living room dining table to make more room.- Balcony views over the piste were excellent to wake up to.- Large towel rail and radiators in rooms were more than enough for drying gloves / clothes- Fresh pastry from reception delivered every morning were good.- Rooms were warm and fairly well sound proof.- Filter coffee machine was good- Bruyeres was a nice village.- Pizza shop just 20m away from accommodation was a nice takeaway.- Firework show on thursday was brilliant.- Ski locker on bottom floor but we never used this. Balcony was more than adequate.

Very happy with our stay at Les Valmonts apartments. Very convenient, you can ski to within 30m of the accommodation & a little further walk to the lift up in the morning. Shops are nearby. The apartment is spacious for 2 or a family, would be a bit cosy with 4 adults, but well equipped, warm & comfortable. The hot water sometimes takes a long time to come through but is plentiful when it does.

The hotel was ok it is a budget hotel but a couple of things really borthered me firstly I am not fussy about beds but the sofa bed was so uncomfortable the pillows were also terrible, take your own! No towels were changed in the whole 7 days we were there I understand they want to save the planet but the same towels for 7 days! I really feel they should be changed once in 7 days. The Hotel is in a fabulous location and we loved the skiiing the staff were friendly enough except if you want extra pillows be careful who you ask as we had to ask twice the first receptionist told me that it was not possible to have extra pillows but the next day a different receptionist was able to get some for my husband, make of that what you will!

This apartment was a good size and ideally located to access the nearby lift. The area of Les Menuires is quite quiet, but there were bars and restaurants and a place to buy fresh bread within a short walk which is all we needed. The mattress was a little old and lumpy, but otherwise the apartment was good and importantly plenty of hot water! The reception staff are helpful and friendly and were able to accommodate us leaving very early. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return next season.

Having stayed with Pierre & Vacancies 3 times in Meribel Village - this was terrible. Firstly they got the booking wrong - we booked for the 27th on Méribel-Village and was given Le Valmots in Bruyeres. When I called to correct this - I was told that was fine it was all updated and we we’re to be in a 3 bed apartment . Arrived after 12 hr drive to find that the booking was not updated - we drove then for an hour to get from Meribel to Bruyeres - when we had been allocated a 2 bedroom budget apartment. When I pointed this out they said there was nothing they could - and no one could help as it was a weekends and we would have to wait until the Monday. Now call me cynical but either this is typically French that no one who can take a decision works that day or - deliberate as you will have booked in and BOF to you as you will have waisted 2 days skiing if you change - getting from resort to resort. And trying to book ski lessons etc - Eventually we gave in and stayed, but would add the accommodation is tiny - if you have 6 staying every available area would be covered. The standard is poor - think formula 1 or the Ryainair budget version of accommodation, then take it down a notch. The resort is no-where near Le Menuires - its 15 mins away with no signage. The manager did his best to accuse me of lying. So unless you like poor accommodation, surly uninterested and unable to help staff who insult guests - I would give it a miss. And I will not stay with Pierre Vacances again as they have little interest in customer services. Lastly on the ground floor you can often smell the drains below which really smell very badly of farts.

Budget accommodation in an excellent location for the ski lifts, restaurants and well stocked supermarket of Les Menuires. The one bedroom apartments are compact with two single beds in the bedroom and a convertible sofa with two beds in the living area. The kitchen is compact with 4 ring hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, plus kettle, toaster and coffee maker. The beds are quite small with one poor quality pillow for each bed. These are not made up on arrival however. One set of towels is provided per person per week. The free Wi-Fi connects 5 devices and was good enough to stream live tv on a laptop. The tv provided only has one English language News channel. Electric heating was good and there was always plenty of hot water. The bath/shower was good with sufficient pressure for a good shower. The balcony has excellent mountain views. The is a good ski locker on the ground floor but no separate boot locker. Ok for two sets but a tight squeeze for 4 sets. We took the boots to the apartment. Very good value if on a tight budget. We booked flights, transfers, skis and accommodation separately which kept the cost to a minimum.
