We were touring Japan and stayed here for two nights over a public holiday. The hotel was full of families of all ages. The hotel sprawls across it's site and is confusing to find your way around at first. We were the only western tourists and there were few staff who were able to speak English. Those that could only...

TV in room only had 6 local channels but there were no toiletries in the bathroom. Dinner buffet was fine as steak were juicy and tender. Breakfast was ok with half of the choices being Japanese style....

There were road closures due to the heavy rain and mudslides the day before in Kyushu so we had to change plans at the very last minute. We walked into this hotel and booked a room to stay. It is a Japanese resort...

It is a huge hotel with Japanse people only. It was very crowded. It accomodated buses with children groups and a lot of families. The hotel gave us the impression of an old hospital building. It even smelled like it. The staff doesn't speak english which makes it hard to communicate with them It is in walking distance from the...

This is not the sort of place we normally would chose to stay. It's a huge hotel complex, targetted at families, and very much a Japanese take on an all inclusive resort. However, we wanted somewhere not too expensive, within walking distance of Aso JR station, that we could book on the internet as we don't speak Japanese. While there's...
