We started planning our 30th anniversary trip/skipping christmas trip with our adult kids in March and soon discovered that Patagonia and TDP lodging needs to be booked a year or more in advance. We reached out to Knowmad Adventures for trip planning and they had a booking at Pat Camp so we planned our trip around this place. It did not disappoint. Totally unique, totally upscale, delicious food, excellent guides, glamping at its best! We found our family yurt, 2 bedrooms with the gorgeous bath in between, to be comfortable with nice linens, wood floors, and to die for views from the windows. The shower was wonderful, heated towel rack and all. The provided eye masks and ear plugs helped deal with the daylight that rarely ended - sunset at 10:30 pm and sunrise at 5:30 am. We loved the private jacuzzi to soak our sore bones after our Towers Hike. The food was wonderful, organic, and delicious. Unlimited drinks, wine, coffee was great and most importantly, the staff were awesome. Smart, nice and very attentive and our hikes and guides were perfect. Yes....there was lots of van rides into the park. But you really can't avoid this in TDP - its a big place and you want to see it all so you will be in a van for some part of it every day. We will be back. It was so special.

Patagonia Camp strives to give first-class service in a very remote and breathtakingly beautiful location. The yurts are clean, comfortable, and more luxurious than you can imagine. The all-inclusive meals, drinks, and excursions are all great. Most of the excursions get you out and active, with guides who are personable, supportive, and informative. Excursions at an additional charge are also made available. If you want to stay close to camp, some self-guided hikes on the property are available. Or, you can just stay in camp, relax in your yurt or in the common area (only location with wifi), read, sip some wine, and enjoy the scenery (even on a changeable Patagonia day). Everyone on staff wants you to have a wonderful time and goes out of their way to make you feel at home.

My husband and I recently stayed at Patagonia Camp and had an amazing time. The service from everyone (waitresses, general staff, hiking guides) was exceptional. We loved that everything was eco friendly and that they have a variety of options on their menus (including gluten free and vegan options). The camp itself was beautiful and they had plenty of excursions to choose from. We hope to be back some time in future. I highly recommend Patagonia Camp!

Patagonia Camp is in a superb lakeside setting, with stunning views of the Torres del Paine. Whilst technically outside the National Park, the whole area is so pristine and stunningly beautiful that there is no distinction in practice. The property sits on a huge expanse is its own private land, which means you can trek out for the entire day and never leave the property (or see another human, apart from perhaps a goucho or two). Amazing wildlife, extremely high quality excursions and knowledgeable guides. The yurts make it especially memorable - in a good way. An unforgettable and enjoyable experience.

Definitely one of the best stays we’ve had. The place is situated ~20km from the national park , by the Lake Taro and has gorgeous views to the massif from every room including the bathroom. This makes it awesome to just stay put in the room, but you’d obviously want to enjoy the outdoors if you are here. For this, there are tonnes of hiking trails within the camp boundaries , and great guides to tell you where to go and enjoy the day. If you plan to hike into the park, then the guides and the transport make the experience the smoothest.
We hiked to the base of the towers in the park and a peninsula hike within the boundary , and we were guided by Isabel and Benjamin, who knew a great deal about local flora and fauna and were great conversationalists giving us motivation every time the hike seemed difficult. And we even had a three course gourmet meal at the midpoint of every hike.
After the hikes, we have the jacuzzi in every room to enjoy the scenery - we got to sit in the tub with gorgeous views of the park, the moon and the shimmering waters of Taro. The view of the starlit sky at nights from the bed is another unforgettable experience.
The place truly caters to the sustainability concept. We used steel containers for having soup on our hike, we were encouraged to use less toilet paper etc.
Hospitality of the team led by the manager Raphael, including every member (Claudio, Eileen, Felipe, but not limited coz I didn’t get the names of every smiling and willing member of the crew) of the breakfast and dinner service was impeccable.
This truly was a 10-star experience!

Patagonia Camp does an excellent job marrying adventure & comfort in their glamping style luxury yurts. I felt close to nature in the yurt, but protected from the at times harsh elements of Patagonia. It was wonderful to return from a day of hiking to an excellent meal and a glass of wine. Patagonia Camp was perfect for that. I also loved the flexibility to be able to choose excursions each day based on the weather. When we had our best weather day, we were able to do our most difficult full day hike, and when we woke up to a snowy morning (we went in the shoulder season, but the snow was beautiful!) we were able to do a shorter hike. There’s a fantastic one to a waterfall right on their property which was absolutely magical in the snow. They do generally require 2 yurts to open an excursion, so just make sure if you do have a specific hike or excursion you want to do during your stay, that you express that on the first day when you arrive & discuss your excursion preferences with the guides. With that, they were good about making sure it was offered for some day, working with the weather & other guests as well.

The views from the yurts are spectacular, especially at sunrise & sunset, and you can see the horns in the distance. The food & wine experience was wonderful as well. On one evening they prepared amazing shaved lamb, slow cooking in a traditional gaucho style. I recommend upgrading to the deluxe yurt with jacuzzi. The price difference isn’t huge, and sitting in the private jacuzzi of your yurt after an adventurous day of exploring the park is a highlight. A few others at the property were only staying for 3 nights, but I highly recommend a 4-night stay. Depending on the flight schedules, if you’re coming from Punta Arenas the transfer is over 4 hours, so your in & out day are mostly lost to the transportation time. 4 nights leaves you time for 3 full days of excursions, which feels perfect. If you’re traveling during the high season, many days there are flights to Puerto Natales as well, so check that as an option too which is just 2 hours from the lodge. I had a wonderful stay & look forward to returning some day with more of my family!

Our time at Patagonia Camp was fantastic. The staff has some special folks that strive for the personal service that make experiences truly exceptional. Highly recommend, and don’t be scared off by the location being just outside the Park. The PC location is tremendous and it’s amenities (fishing, kayaking, hikes, remoteness) more than make up for the 20min drive to the Park.

We greatly enjoyed our recent 5 nights in the family yurt (16) at this wonderful little "camp" near TDP. As noted by others, this is really a special place. The staff were all wonderful, the yurts were cozy and well designed, lacked for nothing (other than wifi, which is in the main lodge), and were amazing to sleep in. Hearing the wind and rain like you're in a tent, without the fear of blowing away, just enhanced the experience.

We opted for 4 full days, and were glad we did. Each day's excursion was quite different from the other days, with different sights, sounds, flora, fauna, and stamina required. Most guests we spoke with only had 2 days, and wished for at least one more. My advice is to allow at least 3 full days at a minimum. It's a long haul to get to PC, so may as well spend enough time there to really enjoy it. Plus the weather is such a wild card that you'll want to maximize your chances of seeing the sun, the towers, and of course the elusive Puma. Definitely follow their packing recommendations. The wind and rain are all part of the experience, so be prepared.

Many people comment on location of PC vs other properties within the park boundaries. Yes, we spent anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours (one way) getting to our excursions. PC is pretty clear about driving time for each hike, as well as hiking details (elevation gain, distance, etc), so you know what you're getting in to. Yes, staying inside the park might mean less drive time, but PC is 30 minutes from the park entrance, so staying inside the park doesn't mean no drive time. It just means less drive time.

The food was really good, and the drinks, well, let's just say we sampled several of their specialities and wound up rather fond of the Califate Sour.

It's hard to pinpoint what makes PC feel so special. Susan and the staff were all warm and friendly. We got to know our fellow guests very well, and enjoyed having new hiking buddies every few days. We loved our stay at Patagonia Camp, and you will too.

Patagonia Camp was one of the best vacation experiences I've ever had. I have traveled a lot and like to do a lot of research. I ended up choosing them because of the many positive reviews on Trip Advisor compared to Explora etc. Yes, its outside the Park but even inside the Park you have to drive to different areas for different hikes. The luxurious yurts and over the top food and wonderful staff made this a highlight of an otherwise superior vacation experience. The quality of the linens, cleanliness of the yurts, food quality and presentation are all excellent. This is no small feat when you consider that they are far far away from the nearest town. The Camp sits on the edge of a beautiful lake with wonderful views of the Towers. There is no pressure to hike if you don't want to and many will just choose to relax in their yurt or in the common areas while other members of their group are out exploring. What makes the experience all the more enjoyable is the staff. I especially commend Susan for overseeing a hard working but lovable crew including Giovani, Pamela, & Franco for his delicious cocktails. The pastry chef delivered amazing desserts each night that you'd expect in a major city. The guides were terrific and Lukas was great in describing the options. Ben and Phillipe were wonderful guides. We stayed four nights which I think is the optimal number of nights to truly relax and see the park. I truly hope to return one day to this wonderful spot.

We had a double yurt with hot tub overlooking the lake with Torres del Paine in the distance, a excellent view and location. The dining was great with the same spectacular views. The excursions were excellent and geared to all levels of fitness. The guides were also very knowledgeable and made sure all parties were taken care of. I highly recommend this location for visiting the national park. The only minor drawback is that the yurts are hot during the day when you're out but cool down quickly when you open the windows.
