+ here you get a little feel of life on an estancia in a remote place. most friendly staff (speak excellent english an a german girl was there too). big rooms. hot water, good shower. tasty dinner and breakfast! interaction with other travellors, but not hostallike. would defenitely go back. - no internet, which we knew and really liked actually!...

Torres del Paine is so spectacular that it is not enough to make just a one day visit. So I chose to stay inside the park that would allow me comfort, traditional Chilean atmosphere, warmth, good food and excellent scenery 24 hours a day. Located near the Blue Lagoon (Laguna Amarga), the Estancia Tercera Barranca offered me everything I needed....

The views are overwhelmingly jaw-dropping from this estancia. We stayed 5 nights and experienced all weather there- a completely rainy day, windy days, and calm clear warm days. I wanted to stay a long time to ensure we would have at least a few clear days to see the mountain tops for photos, and that we did get. Joaquin greeted...

This is a nice, but not great place with very nice staff and great meals. Unfortunately, you cannot cross the stream directly to the entrance of Torres Del Paine. It took us nearly 90 minutes each day over very rough gravel roads just to get to the edge of the park.

My husband and I spent three nights at the ranch a few weeks ago and all in all were very happy there. While it was not luxurious, it was very enjoyable. Yes, the prices are high, but it seems to cost less than other top-of-the-line ranches I read about. Given that the location is so remote, it is not surprising...

Dinner (18000 pesos) and breakfast were pleasant, good thing as there are absolutely zero other options. Arrived tired after a day of poor roads made worse with an additional 12 km of lousy road (asking road workers when we felt we must certainly have missed something) in to Barranca. Had no idea how vey far out of Tierra del Paine...

Although the place is a bit remote from the main road - it is definitely worth going. You can enjoy the view to the main mountains of the park, while staying in the comfortable rooms. The food is very tasty and homelike thanks to the chef Carmen!

This was by far our most expensive hotel of the trip, and also the worst. The heat shuts down during the frigid night, and opening the shades means inviting other guests to look right into your room. We had reserved a tour some weeks earlier, and gone to the office to confirm them days before our visit. Nevertheless, when we...

We arrived very late and the host were very helpful, they even cooked for us since we were starving! The room is comfortable and has an amazing view. We went horseback...

We loved this authentic, homey estancia. The staff was wonderful, and the food delicious. We enjoyed some great horseback riding as well, and the views are fantastic, when the weather cooperates! Our room was large and comfortable, and the shower was the best we had during our two week long trip. Thanks especially to Nancy, Carmen, Oscar, Daniel and Moncho...
