I have just returned back from the Marirena Hotel in Crete. I had a 12 day stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel was clean, my room was cosy, clean linen and a very comfy bed. I had a lovely view from room 112 which over looked the swimming pool. My room was cleaned by very friendly staff everyday, clean... More

Good place. I read many different opinions before my visit , so I was ready to see either good or bad place...:) . I enjoyed my stay , the room was not bad , beach is not far , many small shops and supermarkets around in the village , Heraklion is very close , food ok , people are ok.

The room was dirty, old fashioned, full of mosquitos with no way to keep light outside! So..you pay a lot, the owner is not friendly at all, you sleep with insects, you wake up very early.. Nothing more to say..

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely time in Crete at the Marirena hotel, all the staff were very nice and always smiling. We would defenatly go again :) We had a room looking out to some beautiful mountains and the Amoudara beach was gorgeous.

Nice and big room, very good and tasty local food like: gemista, spanakopita, sicoti (beef liver), moussaka, but also chicken /pasta/ bean. (for those less courageous) Great cocktails prepared by a bartender. Very friendly staff, nice swimming pool and a familiar atmosphere in the hotel. We stayed with family in august 2016, in AI.

We stayed a week in a all inclusive family suite, looking over the courtyard and the pool. Lots of smiling and welcoming faces, good and varied food, including local cretan specialities, right on the main street surrounded by shops and tavernas, 2mins to the beach. A great bartender included, best mojito and caipirinha ever. I recommend for a family gateway.

The hotel is fine, maybe old, but fine. The room we got was spacious and nice. It's close to the beach. There were some cleaning ladies that came every day but i don't think they chaged the sheet every day. I'm not sure that even chanched it during our stay. They just made the bed. We noticed there was the... More
