Beautiful hotel ,grounds, cleaners never stop, rooms are a good size ,plenty of storage, stunning views from the balcony and right on the beach, food tasty and lots of choices but geared more for the Germans food wise, never had mashed potatoes, custard ,pork sausage rice pudding all week ,but never went hungry, staff especially Ionnions, was worth his weight in gold and his English was great, the waiting staff was so quick to attend to your needs in the restaurant, first time I have been at a hotel that is so relaxing at the pools with no music blasting out ,so chilled, shops a short walk away, and along the beach takes you into another sceanic town of Roda, with lots of shops , restaurants, cafes and supermarkets ,only downsize I found was to pay for the sunbeds in the beach that belonged to the hotel !!! .

Hotel's Favourite
This year we discovered Corfu and we feel in love with the island. We enjoyed spending a wonderful week at the hotel after such a long period of pandemic. The hotel is perfectly located near the beach and the facilities are well organized for the comfort of the guests. We were greeted with much professionalism and warmth, and everything was done to make us feel comfortable. International as well as local cuisine available, very tasty food. We met with very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the turtle family in your garden, and the garden is well kept and a joy to admire. All in all, we give you 5 stars. We try to come back.

What a lovely hotel. The front desk, waiter and waitresses were nice and friendly. My biggest praise is to the unsung heroes, the cleaning staff and gardeners etc. The rooms were clean and the gardens and pools really lovely. Cannot fault the personnel. Food was good with plenty of choices but can be repetitive. Luckily, we were only there for a week. The pools were wonderful and plenty of sun loungers. The rooms were adequate and nice but the bathroom was a bit dated and the showerhead leaking and needed replacement. But usable. Main criticism are: 1. No sign displayed near the beach that the sun loungers cost 6 Euros per day to hire. In all our holidays in Europe, this is the first time a beach hotel charges to sit near the sea. Was surprised we were not charged for swimming in the sea. 2. While, the rooms were non smoking, smoking was allowed on the balcony. This was most unpleasant when you are a non smoker and the adjacent rooms were filled with smokers puffing away on their balconies. Would have been nice if they had blocks of rooms where smoking were permitted on the balconies and some entirely non smoking. 3. While not the hotel's fault, there was a persistent owl that kept squeaking like a submarine sonar every night. Some nights, it was a fair distant from our room, quite a few nights it was literally outside the room. Most guest we spoke too dreaded his nocturnal visit. 4. No kettle for coffee/tea. This is a 4 star hotel. Big disappointment. If management can remedy the above points bar the owl, this hotel will be a real winner!

A lovely clean hotel with incredibly friendly staff. The rooms were a little small but this was a minor concern as the rest of the hotel was great. The big pool by the Vissalo area is gorgeous and so pretty at night when it lights up. The area is clean and plenty of sunbeds. We went half board and the food was good, we had a fussy vegetarian with us and she had plenty of choice too. There is a local supermarket near the hotel. Beach was lovely and watersports (payable) on offer too. Great little bars all along the front. We walked into town which has a good range of shops and hired a car for a few days to explore the area.

The bathroom was not that big and rather basic compared to the rest of the room and the other accomodations. After 1 week the handshower was broken, the rainshower was still operational. The reception was informed. Our surprise was big when we wanted to shower the next evening, the rainshower was eliminated but we had again a working handshower. Why eliminating the rainshower? If they needed to choose, than eliminate the handshower and not the rainshower. The reception was not able to tell the why of the decission. But showering during a heatwave like that was going back 20 years in time.

This hotel has some great points and then sadly some not so great. I think it depends on what you want from a holiday. Firstly the staff, the reception staff are amazing, we had an issue with our rooms and without any issues they moved us to other rooms, which were lovely, we had a pool view and was very quiet. Most of the other staff are really friendly, but as in most places you always get the odd one who is not, but it wasn't a major issue. The cleaning staff need huge praise, the hotel is kept immaculate and our rooms was kept spotless, towels changed everyday etc. The food was really good, always served at a good temperature and plenty of choice, although a bit samey was still really nice. Our couple of not so good points now. Firstly the smoking, with the exception of inside the main part of the hotel you can smoke anywhere, this may not be a problem for some, but when you are sitting at one of the tables near the outside or even in the other restaurant and people are either at the next table or just outside the restaurant area smoking it is not pleasant, especially as there is also a children's play area near by. Most 4 star hotels we have stayed in have designated areas for smoking, which is a much better idea. The second issue we have is that although the hotel has all its own sunbeds on the piece of beach right next to the pool and the sunbeds are run by the hotel staff, you still have to pay for them. This is quite frankly outrageous, it seems like it is just a way of making money. For a 4 star hotel this is really poor and is what in our opinion pushes it way down the ranking. The area in general is quite bad for mosquitos, even the staff were mentioning it, this is not a hotel problem and they do their best, but is something to be aware of when choosing this area. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel, with just a few issues in general, but certainly did not let it ruin our stay. Thank you Acharavi Beach Hotel

The facility is beautifully situated, very well-maintained, nice garden, beautifully lit swimming pool. Restaurant overlooking the sea. Good food. The only problem is with the standard and location of some rooms. Some of them are located in older buildings away from the main building and overlooking the non-hotel area /neglected field/

To start with the positives: huge adult pool which was lit beautifully at night. There were separate pools for children away from the main pool which was appreciated. Plenty of sun beds around the pool, good clean toilets, private & poolside showers. Also a snack bar. The room was a good size with comfortable bed, efficient AC & decent sized balcony. The hotel is located right on the beach with great sunset views. The reception staff were friendly & helpful. The chambermaids were friendly. Half board food was plentiful (but see comments below). Negatives: Unlike the other hotels where people on the same transfer bus were dropped, we were not greeted outside the hotel or offered help with luggage. Unlike many other hotels, there was no welcome drink on arrival. Unlike every other beachfront establishment, this hotel charged its residents for the sun beds on the beach in front of the hotel. Even small bars & restaurants that had sun beds in front did not charge if you bought a drink or spent a nominal amount. In addition to the large main dining room, the hotel had an a La crate restaurant but no discount was offered for hotel residents. The dining room was too big & there were always queues & screaming children. It would have been better to have a separate dining room for families or perhaps earlier sittings. The food, being buffet style, was never hot & often over-cooked. Ingredients were cheap & poor quality. Salads seemed to often comprise leftovers. Not enough items were labelled. Disappointing lack of seafood, given location. Same anonymous (not labelled) fish portions served each night. Surprised to find tinned fruit served at breakfast. Long queue for eggs cooked to order, often with only 1 person cooking using a frying pan rather than a plancha which allows more things to be cooked at once. The table with the coffee machines, tea, hot & cold water were covered during dinner service so you were obliged to order drinks at extra cost. This is incredibly mean - I would at least have expected to be able to get a coffee after my meal as part of half board other hotels offer this. On the first night in the dining room a waiter came to take our drinks order. They did not offer wine by the glass & we did not want an entire bottle so just ordered water. It was only on another night we observed the waiter offer to put someone’s name on an unfinished bottle & keep it for the next night. It would have been nice to be told we could do that. The hotel offered no added extras other than 2 small bottles of water in the room fridge eg. no fruit, discounts on drinks, discounts in the a la carte. The clientele in the hotel were predominantly German so the only English language TV channel was BBC News. The movie channels were German or Dutch with no English subtitles. Even the a la carte restaurant menu was in German & we were addressed in German. Thought it naf to have a hotel photographer hassling people outside the hotel entrance on their way into the dining room. Also got hassled by hotel masseuse coming out of dining room. The sheets & towels were not changed often enough, towels not even re-folded on occasion. Used glasses were never washed or replaced - we had to do it ourselves. Surfaces not wiped. A ‘Do not disturb/please clean my room’ sign would have been useful. Rooms were not that well insulated so we could hear our neighbours using the loo during the early hours. Conclusion: I would not go back to this hotel.

Dear Κernowbat good morning , thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for us. Thank you for your positive and negative comments. As far as your reception is concerned, the bus goes right up to the front desk and you only have to walk a few steps to get in. In Greece, the beach loungers on the beach are charged but we have free loungers available in our two pools. The program you have booked is a half board which is breakfast and dinner buffet which includes fresh and freshly prepared meals every day. Your drinks are not included in the price and this is something you should be aware of when you book your holiday with the agents in England or any other country. As far as our restaurants are concerned the a la carte is available to the client with very good prices .The cafes are available to the client during breakfast and not dinner we are not an all incusive hotel .All our information is available to the client on the hotel website or on the app which can be downloaded during the stay . It is very natural to have a small queue at the buffet when making omelets at the request of the guests but there are ready omelets at the buffet in case one does not want to wait. our hotel is not adult only so families with children are welcome. finally you could express your complaints during your stay and we will do our best to please you. with appreciation
