We booked a week at Nireas as a late deal package through EasyJet.
For the price we paid, the apartment was brilliant. We had a one bed, which was on the ground floor and had a separate kitchen / living space with extra pull out beds, a shower room, a small terrace off the bedroom and a larger terrace off the kitchen. The apartment was basic, but it was clean and functional and better than we had expected for the price. The kitchen area had a fridge, two ring hob, kettle and microwave. There was a washing line with pegs on the larger terrace which was great for swimwear. Thanks to the layout of the complex and the planting around the site, both terraces felt quite private.
The apartment was cleaned frequently and we got fresh towels twice during the week, and the beds stripped and fully remade once.
Nireas is a short few minutes walk from the beach and beachfront bars / restaurants in one direction, and a similar distance from the main street of Acharavi with loads of restaurants etc and a supermarket just at the top of the road, so cannot fault the location. We hired a bike and there was no issue parking outside our apartment. This meant we did get out and explore the island so did not spend as much time in the complex as others, but there would be plenty within walking distance if you did not hire a vehicle. We didn’t use the pool and bar area much due to being so close to the beach and town, but it always seemed clean and welcoming. We were able to leave our cases at the bar without issue on our last day after checkout as we had an evening transfer.
There was air con available in the bedroom but this is for an extra charge. We prefer not to use it anyway and were fine in the apartment we had without it. Definitely make sure you have mozzie repellent if you’re sensitive to bites as there are a lot around (true for most of the coastal areas if you’re out of the breeze, so not specific to the accommodation, just one to be aware of).

In downsides, as per a previous review, we arrived after midnight with two other groups and it was very confusing as no staff / open reception desk, just posters in the reception window telling us which apartments we were assigned to. The reception itself is pretty tucked away and was hard to find after hours of travelling and in the dark, and we were conscious of not wanting to disturb other guests as we wandered about trying to figure out what to do. A heads up about the system or sending some info in advance by email would have made this so much easier.
There was some kitchen equipment provided but very limited cutlery / utensils, so while it was fine for us to do breakfast and snacks in the apartment, it would have been a struggle to make a more substantial meal. This may be luck of the draw as to what is provided in each apartment.
Although everything was clean, the apartment did show signs of wear and tear, especially in the bathroom and kitchen areas.

This is our 2nd stay at Nireas apartments and again we loved it.
We were in a studio apartment which was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the pretty gardens. Our room was cleaned each day and towels were changed regularly.
The location is perfect if you want to be in peaceful surroundings but in close proximity to the beach, supermarket , bars and tavernas.
The pool area is beautiful with a snack and drinks bar which is very reasonably priced.
Please be aware that if you arrive on a late flight, go to the reception where you’ll find your room information stuck on the window.

Basic large clean apartments with a big pool in a superb location, 5 mins one way to the beach, and 5 mins the other way to the main street of shops, bars and restaurants.

Good points: apartments are surrounded by lush gardens and trees so feel very private. Great views of mountains. Quiet at night. Balcony not overlooked and plenty of space in apartment, basic decor but equipped with microwave, kettle, 2 hobs and fridge. We ate out all the time so never used the kitchen but the facilities were better than some places we've stayed before. Swimming pool was lovely, very large pool and plenty of sunloungers, no need to reserve with towels. Very nice views of the trees and gardens around the pool, felt like a real hidden tropical oasis, we saw preying mantis, bats, dragonflies and lizards.

Areas it could improve on:
Bar area was dark and dull, it didn't feel inviting. When we arrived to check in and the rest of the week, we weren't ever given a friendly greeting, it just felt like a business, no warmth which was a shame as we have been to many apartments in Greece where they smile and are so welcoming. So we did go elsewhere for cocktails and drinks, where previously we have enjoyed spending time in the apartments we stay at, having drinks and being made to feel welcome. Nireas has the potential to be really great as the pool, apartments and gardens are lovely, perhaps we just experienced the end of a long summer and their enthusiasm was fading, I do get that, but a smile isn't hard.

Rude staff, dirty room, bathroom door had been punched. The floor was boiling hot all day due to pipes under the floor. Balcony was so narrow you could not sit 2 people at a table and it was also outside someone else's bathroom with a view of the road and parked cars despite paying extra for a pool or garden view. Dirty fridge and freezer. No pool,no sunbeds yet others in the area are open. No hand sanitiser anywhere to be seen as there is in many other places we have visited. not a nice place to stay. There are plenty of other nice places to stay in the locality. We moved out as soon as we could which was after 2 nights of a 17 night stay in corfu.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday to Nireas.
Our original hotel was closed for the summer so "on the beach" found us this replacement making out it was an upgrade so we accepted.
It couldn't have been further from the truth!
We had a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with very noisy neighbours upstairs.
Very drab looking and dated decor but ok for a base (even though the crack in the wall got bigger and bigger over the 2 weeks which was very worrying)
Very hard beds, patio doors that only opened with brutal force, a toilet that didn't flush (however my husband fixed it and no maid service only towels/sheets and binbags left outside so i had to clean and change beds and bins myself! Oh and an Olympic size swimming pool with no water in it lol (on the beach failed to tell us this to be fair to Nireas)
No pool bar and no reception apart from a hour or so on a Monday.
However dispite all that we just got on with our holiday and had a really good time.
Acharavi is a lovely place with lots of lovely restaurants and a lovely pebbled beach with free sunbeds.
We even managed to find another pool to use so the kids were happy.
I won't go back to Nireas again but Acharavi is beautiful and we had a great holiday.

Ideal location, near beach and bars and restaurants. The pool was lovely and never too crowded. The Pool bar served an excellent choice of breakfast and snacks.
On arrival ( after midnight) there was nobody around as reception closes at 5pm and the bar closes at 8pm. We felt a bit lost and it was quite dark. I phoned a contact number and was told to look on the window at reception. When we finally found reception details if our room and how to find it were posted in the window. It didn't take long to sort but I think visitors should be informed that this is their system. The room was spacious but basic. The next day when we officially checked in we paid for air con for the week, which was a godsend. The cleanliness could have been better. The sheets weren't changed the whole time we were there and the beds were not made. I had to ask for fresh towels. The bins were emptied three times in the week. For the kitchen and recycling bin this was fine . However I think the bathroom bin needed changing daily especially as you are not allowed to flush toilet paper down the toilet We had a good holiday and a pleasant stay but the attention to detail re the cleanliness etc could have made it even better. .

Exactly what to expect from Greece! Great location for the beach and bars / restaurants. Basic accommodation but for a week it’s got everything you need. Air con is extra (to be expected). Pool area is great, large pool, ample sun beds and a decent little bar which does breakfast and lunch.
Only slight issue would be the cleanliness, could do with daily cleaning when each person is having two showers a day you need fresh towels.
Overall would recommend for a chilled out week.

The apartments are very clean, hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. Night life just up the road for great meals and welcoming beverages. The village and beach are stunning. The swimming pool and facilities are brilliant. Wifi is was a bit hit and miss but nice for the escape from life. Will definitely book again. Ground floor apartment much cooler than the upstairs but air-conditioning available for a small fee. Five stars

Nireas reminded me of my first visits to Corfu over 35 years ago, really basic apartment but had its pluses.. our room had two balconies (ground floor), good sized room and a large kitchen area. A few niggles with the bathroom though, old style shower with a curtain and the sink leaked a little making the floor a bit slippy.. Maid service was fine tho, no complaints.. The pool area doesn't seem to get used much, i assume because of all the bitey bugs that are about.. Mozzies were the biggest sorepoint of our 2 week stay, I usually get bit anyway but I got a load more than usual, as did my partner and when sitting with drinks people watching it was apparent everybody was getting munched on.. obviously not the fault of nireas but would put me off going back unless the price was as good as we paid this time.. Perfect location, a couple of minutes stroll either way to the beach or the main road, both with some really good bars and restaurants.
