On the banks of the River Usk, we are a traditional Freehouse pub. We have modern, en-suite bedrooms, all with lovely views of the scenery surrounding us, two rooms also have views of the river. We are dog friendly and offer excellent pub food and a great selection of local real ales. Being only a short 10 minute walk into the nearby market town of Abergavenny you can relax and enjoy our peaceful location whilst benefiting from the wide selection of interesting independent shops of the town. We are on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We welcome muddy boots and paws as well as cyclists. We offer secure lock-up and washing facilities for bikes.

A lovely no nonsense home cooked traditional Sunday roast. Excellent value. Good and friendly service.
The views over the river from the large beer garden make a good stop for families and dog walkers. Highly recommend.
I called twice to check they were serving food only to arrive and all that was on offer was panini and jacket potatoes. Nothing gluten free. They didn’t even realise that jacket potatoes have no gluten in them
