Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely room with a patio. Beautifully clean with an exceptional view of the fields. My host, Ian was very helpful and friendly when I arrived. The bathroom was well equipped and a good size. Loved the breakfast room and breakfast. A great selection of food.

Excellent from arrival. We were en route between South lincs and Carlisle and stayed over to break the journey. We couldn't have made a better choice. Location is very peaceful. Host met us at the gate and showed us where to park our car in the private/secure courtyard. Room lovely and we chose to have a private terrace where we dined from our own purchases cooked in the well stocked kitchen/diner. Breakfast system also good. Self serve from good choice of breads patries, cakes and croissants, yogurts and fresh fruit. There were eggs in the guest fridge and my husband chose to scramble. Choices of cereals, fresh coffee to brew in cafetieres. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Courtyard parking is lovely and secure, room is modern and clean with a lovely view and back patio area. Shared kitchen is massive and really cosy and well stocked.

Arrived having cycled the transpennine trail from Liverpool with my son.Covered in mud after a wet day the proprietor just shrugged and told us to stick our gear in the immaculately clean bath.A fantastic continental breakfast the next day [as in size of a continent] Brilliant comfortable room and beds ten stars

This old building has recently been converted to a very high standard. Attention to detail was evident immediately and I enjoyed my one night stay. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. My room was large, very comfortable and fully equipped with an excellent bed, strong wifi, good shower etc etc. It had a private patio area which would be pleasant during the summer months. Breakfast was a cold buffet with a good choice of menu and cooking facilities (and fridge/freezer/microwave etc) for guests are available if required. I was pleased to use these on the evening of my stay. There is a pub less than 10 minutes walk away but I didn’t use it. There is a canal about 10 minutes walk away which was picturesque and enjoyable.

Room Tip: A walk along the canal tow path would be enjoyable. Don't forget the kitchen is available for use...

Had an overnight stay at this gorgeous place with my partner. Can not fault it. The room was immaculate, well decorated, roomy with super king bed ( which was very comfortable). It had everything you could need to every detail. Large TV, tea coffee, sofa, armschair and even small table and chairs to eat from if you desired. Bathroom was super clean and very modern. The kitchen facilities were also excellent offering everything you could want from continental to cook your own. I would recommend anyone to stay there, guaranteed a good night's sleep. The village it is in has a lovely pub too, we were lucky to go when they had their yearly beer Fest topped our stay. Can't recommend this accommodation highly enough 10/10.

This b&b is absolutely perfect. I think it's the best b&b I have ever stayed at. The hosts are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. I loved the fact our rooms had their own terraces so we could sit outside at the end of our day. I will definitely be returning.
