I’ve just finished a 5 night stay here for a course run by Eastwood Park and I have to say it was very good, although did have some things I think could be improved.

The room I stayed in was a bit dated however it was clean and had everything I needed. The fan in the room was a godsend. The remote control for the tv looked like it had seen better days too(see picture). I struggled with the shower everyday as the grip kept sliding down the pole to shoulder height so that was annoying and on the fourth day, it actually snapped inside (see picture)from wear and tear. All this being said, everything was there and all was tidied, cleaned and replenished each day. The worst bit about the room was the WiFi. I’m no internet addict but this was really frustrating as it was so slow and often kicked you off the WiFi. I would rather have paid for WiFi for something decent. It would have helped me with my work for my course and I’d have been able to contact family back home.

The classroom block we went to really smelt horrible on Monday morning of damp carpet. It smelt like it had flooded at some point from a roof leak or something. It really was distracting. The remainder of the week after it had been aired it wasn’t so bad and whilst again, the classrooms were dated, it did the job. I am aware there’s a new state of the art learning centre opening up in spring next year which looks amazing so I won’t bang on about that. On the subject of the course and teaching, Mark Walker - what a top man! His enthusiasm for the course and teaching was brilliant.

My review seems quite negative so far but the reason I’ve marked it very good was because of the service and the food. The food was outstanding and after a heavy day in lectures and practicals, it was really nice to go into the hotel for a decent meal. Also, the staff were absolutely amazing - Angie, Caitlin, Rebecca, Jess, Enrique and the guy with glasses and a mohican (sorry I didn’t see your badge). All of you were literally the nicest people and made my stay very welcoming and a positive experience. I’d also like to point out that Enrique got some minor grief from small minded guests. I’m assuming English is his 2nd language as it was difficult to communicate sometimes but he was a top man and never put a foot wrong. Take no notice, man.

Last but not least I really appreciated the coffee machines dotted around with free coffee/tea/mochas etc. I didn’t expect this but it was thoughtful and probably saved me a lot of money with the amount of coffee I drink.

Thank you all at Eastwood Park, I’d definitely return.

Thank you for taking your time to provide such an honest and balanced review. We are working hard to provide a comfortable and welcoming stay for all our guests, particularly at these times, so we really appreciate your comments, in support of our team. We apologise for your other experiences. We have upgraded our wifi but do continually monitor this and are working through upgrades in all our rooms, nevertheless we will look into this and the other areas that need attention. We do encourage all guests to report anything at all to reception so that we can endeavour to fix any issues straight away. Yes, indeed, our new training centre is progressing well; we take over the building at the end of the month as we progress with the next phase – the ‘healthcare’ fit out - over the next six months or so. We look forward to seeing you back with us again soon.

We came here for our works Christmas Party. I did not stay in a room.
The food was nice.
The bar was a reasonable price £18 for five gin and lemonade.
The place was spotlessly clean.
For me the music wasn’t the best until near the end of the evening.
However, all in all a good night
Thank you.

We booked Eastwood Park for our wedding in Sept 2019. We chose the venue as it is stunning, has plenty of space and there are lots of rooms to allow guests to stay overnight. We had the best day celebrating at this beautiful venue and loads of our guests commented on how lovely it was.

The staff were great throughout the day with food and drinks being served as ordered and on time. A few of our guests had dietary requirements and this was all catered for. The breakfast the next morning was good, however a few guests had to wait quite a while for their food. I was told there was only one staff member serving at the bar in the study so maybe more staff are required in this area.

In the lead up to the wedding I had a lot of questions. Eve, the Wedding Coordinator answered everything and was available on the day to check we had what we needed which was great. The only issue with communication I had was prior to Eve joining, we had Emily. Emily left but we weren’t informed. This lead to a few of my emails not receiving answers for quite some time. I feel couples could have been better informed in a change of their wedding coordinator. This was resolved by the team when I realised Emily had left and made contact with the team. Everything after this point was great.

Overall I would recommend Eastwood Park as a wedding venue. The venue itself is beautiful, the staff are efficient and we got good value for money by booking one of the wedding packages which included everything! Also the DJ included with the package was great.

The venue is stunning, approached via a long tree lined drive with plenty of parking near to the house. The house itself is magnificent and the location is perfect with great views, there are gardens tucked away and the house has a stairs with stained glass window, so many opportunities for photographs. The staff were helpful and made sure we were happy with all of the preparations. We stayed late the night before to make sure everything was ready. From the time of arriving, early on the morning of the wedding for hair, makeup etc. the staff were welcoming and throughout the day they made sure everything ran smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and they went over and above, including offering the children chicken nuggets which was very much appreciated. The food for the wedding breakfast was well presented and all of the guests commented on how delicious it was, the hot pork rolls during the evening were a hit with all of the guests. A lot of guests stayed the night of the wedding, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We had a perfect wedding day at Eastwood Park and would not have changed anything.

All the staff here were all friendly and helpful in making our daughter’s wedding reception a memorable day for us all. From greeting the bridal party at 7.15am and providing a lovely room for us to get ready in with delicious pastries, a coffee machine and even bacon butties. On our return from the church they continued to always be on hand to provide whatever was required. The food for the reception, in the evening and breakfast the next day was really good quality and good variety. Our bedroom was also very good, it had everything in it that we needed, it was very clean and the bed was very comfy. We are very glad we chose this venue for the reception as it was also very good value for money.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Eastwood Park for their hard work over the weekend to make our day as special as it was!

The staff were fantastic, the guests had nothing but great things to say about them all. They were great at making sure me and my husband always had everything we needed and that the day was going how we wanted it to.

Mike was also fantastic and the dance floor was full all evening! All of our guests say they had the best time and that was all that we wanted.

Thank you very much to Mary and Emma also for making sure everything was perfect and in place prior to the big day, me and my husband are extremely grateful.

Thank you so so much,

Booking our company Christmas meal (for around 15 people) was easy, with the customer service representatives going out of their way to provide us with the information we needed. On the day itself, we were greeted and allowed to wait in their wonderful lounge area before the meal itself, which was prompt and tasty.

All-in-all, it went really well. This was our second year having our Christmas meal at Eastwood Park and we will strongly consider returning for a third.

We chose Eastwood Park as our wedding venue. Everything about our wedding day was completely magical. We can't thank Angela and all the team there enough. We had complete freedom to make the day our own with constant support which took away alot of stress knowing Eastwood Park would take care of everything. The house and grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend this venue! X

Attended a beautiful weddings at This beautiful location. Took about 30 minutes to get to from Bristol. lots of car parking space. Outside and inside the venue were both beautiful and clean. Staff were amazing and very well organised and constantly available. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed, we didn’t stay for the evening buffet so can’t comment on that. Only one tiny piece of feedback would be when coming in from the M4 via Bristol we did drive past the place, so a larger sign on the road where you need to turn off is needed - unless we missed it?! All we saw was a sign for the Eastwood garden centre- which is the turn off.

I’ve never had afternoon tea at EWP and only reviewed it as a wedding venue so no I can’t answer your question. Better to ask someone who’s actually had afternoon tea there.
