We had planned to have a break for lunch on our way to west Cornwall, we had planned to stop elsewhere which we did, the welcome was nearly as cold as the Pub!!! What a contrast, we were welcomed by Chris at The Victoria Inn, a pleasant warm welcome, a warm pub with a lovely wood burner glowing away. The... More

Roast is really good, other menu options nice, not the biggest of menus but good pub grub. Also do old school desserts such as spotted dick and treacle pudding. Staff friendly and efficient. Quite a reasonable size but can get quite busy.

We stayed at the Travelodge next door and had meals at The Victoria every evening. The proprietors and staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was also a welcome change to be able to order some decent pub food knowing that you would get a good sized meal that was honest, freshly prepared and... More

Had a lovely stay here as a Base to explore other areas and is ideally located. Close to A30 so found it very easy to explore with our dog :) Didn't try the pub next door so can't comment on that. Outside could do with freshening up a little but didn't bother us.

We stayed at the Travelodge Bodmin Roche and the Victoria Inn is directly next door. We had several meals here during our week holiday (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and stayed for the quiz on the Tuesday night. Great food, plenty of choice, nicely presented and good prices. The pub has a traditional bar area, with a modern conservatory and restaurant... More

We happened to chance upon the Victoria Inn 2 years ago and we stopped in to try their Sunday carvery. I am quite choosy as to where to eat being a Vegetarian, everybody assumes we eat pastry and bread which isn't the case, (The nut cutlet available was ok and I declined the veggie gravy) but as there are a... After busy days at the Royal Cornwall Show it was wonderful to come "home" here, where we could relax and then look forward to a lovely meal. The pub has various rooms. One seems to be used by the families staying at the hotel and locals tend to use the bar and other areas. Wherever one sits, everyone is very... More

We were visiting Cornwall for a long weekend and staying at The Travelodge, Bodmin Roche. The Victoria Inn is attached to the motel. They offer a breakfast service as well as lunch and dinner. The menu is quite varied and reasonably priced. They also offer a carvery on Sundays which is served until 8.30pm. We have never had a bad... More

The staff are very lovely and friendly. Loads of choice on the carvery. Choose your meat and then you help yourself to veg and potatoes, gravy. My mum and grandad are very picky but even they loved the food. There was 6 of us the first time we visited and we booked again before we left. The second time we... More
